Life of Master of Technology at NIT Raipur.

Campus Life

At NIT Raipur, multiple annual and technical festivals happen every year. Like Aavartan, which is a technical fest use to happen in the month of Feburary year year. Other like Eclectika, which is a cultural fest/annual festival hsppen in the month of March every year. In the library multiple books and journals are available. For every departments, there are different books of different authors. The students use to collect books from the library for fixed term of tenure for study. In my classroom, there are seating chairs and computers assigned to every students where they can code. There is smart board, projector and air conditioner. There is also Wi-Fi facility present here. The sports like cricket, badminton, football ,basketball, tabble tennis, vollyball and many other are present here. In extracurricular activities, there is singing, dancing, painting, gyming and others can be seen here. The students run coding clubs, singing clubs, debate clubs, research clubs are there. These help to improve skills in the students.

Faculty

For 26 students are 6 facult members in my batch. The relationship between the faculty and students are good. The faculty members help the students to understand the subjects in deep knowledge and make them ready for industry job. The faculty members provide research works to students. I like Suresh Verma sir, who the professor of Cloud Computing. His knowledge is good and he imparts deep dive in the subject. I don not like Darmesh sir, as because he use to read the presentation and teach less about the topics that are there in the subject. There are two examinations in each semester. In a single semester, 1 mid-semester examination of 30 marks and 1 end-semester examination of 100 marks. And in between practical examinations are also taken. The exams are not so tough, if you are able to attend the class regularly, then you will score in the examination.

An overall review of ABV-IIITM from a masters student

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee of mtech in IT over the course of 2 years will come up to around 3.2 lakh rupees (hostel and mess included). Per sem fee is around 72,000 rupees (hostel and mess included). For PG students tthe college provides each student with a single room all to himself/herself. GATE qualified students are entitled to a monthly stipend of 12,400 rupees (you have to meet the required academic conditions to keep availing the stipend)

Course Curriculum Overview

The IT course here offers 2 tracks or specializations, one is in "smart mobility systems engineering" and the other is "intelligent information systems engineering". The former covers cryptography and cyber security aspect and the later is a bit more AI/ML focused. The curriculum helps students understand how verious ML algos. work and why do they work.

Good placement but infrastructure is disappointed

Faculty to students ratio is 5:100 and students faculty relationship is good and they are easily approachable Krishna prasad madasu is the funniest teacher I have seen and so supportive There is no such faculty i don't like There are 4 exams yearly they are not tough it's just you have study just before exams to pass Some students fail in exams as they don't study at all

Genaral fees is 140000 yearly for college excluding hostel but if you have category or if your parents income is under 5 lakh yearly then you have to pay one third of the salary and also college also provide nsp to students and there are many scholarships provided to college students And if you are sc st or under 1 lakh yearly income then you have to pay 16000 yearly

IIITA Review by a masters student

Fees of this college is a bit on the higher end as it is comparatively newer college, I pay around 110000 rupees overall for one semester in Mtech, fee fluctuations are there but sometimes fees goes up and down but stays in 100000 range only. Total cost for mtech here is around 450000 rupees. For mtech students, we get MHRD stipend of 12400 each month. Employment rate here is very very good you will get a high paying job from this college for sure, average package for mtech is 18 lpa, and average for btech is 31 lpa no kidding. Placements are good.

Campus Life is good,clubs are not very active on masters side but btech students are very active in club activities, Infrastructure is amazing and beautiful architecture of building. Library is open till midnight. Swimming pool is also available Facilities in classroom are good every class alhas a PC and a projector and a white board. Along with AC in the entire campus building. Labs are well equipped. Social Life is very chill here everyone is very friendly, juniors respect senior and vice versa.

Campus Placements are great, there is a market slowdown but most(70%) of them from mtech got placed this year and still the placements are going on. Other than that you will have internship opportunities from the college or as well as outside the campus as well. From the last two years, 6-month internship is provided to mtech as well.

The course is more inclined towards practicle implementation of the theorectical concepts of machine learning. The best thing is the coding culture here and along with that there is Deep Learning as your compulsory subject.

Class is well infrastructure with good seating arrangement, presentation board,AC, wifi connection etc.. Yearly Sports event is organised in our campus.

7 Out of 10 for the course curriculum in terms of relevance and comprehensive.I like to do higher study and want to be a professor.Here we get a good guduance of professor you may do research in your specific domain which you like. AREA OF IMPROVEMENT There is some irrelevant things is in syllabus which is outed and lab equipment be updated.

IIIT ALLAHABAD Incredible College

Campus life is great in IIITA. Effervescence is the Annual fest that happens every year. Many coding competitions are held. Cultural activities are also there in the college. Almost every festival is celebrated in the college like Ganesh Chaturthi, garba night etc. The classroom is well equipped with the facilities and AC. Every sport is there in the college.

I chose it because of my interest in programming and other new Technology like AI ML, and data science. Faculty to the student is good. MMMUT Experience

The programme is divided into four semesters. From theoretical knowledge to practice and research project management to the summer internship, the curriculum focuses on every engineering side of industrial norms. The curriculum not only adheres to industry standards but also provides students with in-depth knowledge. The college's faculty is highly qualified and experienced. The majority of the faculty are young and enthusiastic, with industrial experience that is very beneficial to the students. The faculty is extremely helpful, and you can approach facilities without hesitation to clear your doubts.

The college's campus life is excellent. The classrooms are spacious and well-ventilated. The library has over 10 lakh books from every genre from around the world. It is a book lover's paradise. There is also free WiFi available on campus. The classrooms have air conditioning as well, and ours did as well. The college campus is very well-kept. Basketball Court, Cricket Ground, Football Ground, Tennis Court, Volleyball Court, Hockey Ground, Table Tennis, Chess, and Carom are some of the indoor and outdoor sports facilities available at our college. Andhra University Experience

The college's curriculum is excellent and up to date with industry standards, rules, and regulations. The curriculum is intended to provide us with all of the fundamentals as well as current knowledge, as well as to assist us in developing our innovative skills. The college faculty is excellent and cooperative. Faculty members are highly qualified and well-trained. The faculty have completed their PhD programmes and have research experience from prestigious Indian universities. The disadvantage is that the faculty is relatively small.

The college placement is satisfactory. If you are looking for a high-paying job, this is not the place to be. However, the college has a 90% placement rate. ISRO, IRS, DRDO, Wipro, HCL, TCS, Infosys, Mahindra, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, and Satyam are among the companies invited to the college's placement drive. NIT Raipur study life

The infrastructure of my college campus are good. Our campus has central library which has a total of 1 lakh printed books and 1.75 lakhs eBooks, dedicated sports department that provides facilities for outdoor games like athletics, cricket, football, hockey, yoga exercises, lawn tennis etc. 24X7 wifi facility, five boys and two girls hostel which is well equipped with all the basic amenities. Also computer lab and medical healthcare facility. The college organizes several events, fest, competitions and functions annually.

The course is mainly of 2 years. The total credits is 80. The course curriculum include topic of Distributed operating system, object oriented software engineering, computer network design, parallel system architecture, advance data structure and algorithms. Also elective page are sensor network, cyber crime laws and intellectual property rights, advance data modelling etc. The faculty are very helpful, cooperative and knowledgeable.

Basically 65% of the understudies were put in organizations from our school. The most significant compensation bundle offered was almost 8 LPA, and the normal compensation bundle offered was around 4.4 LPA to 5 LPA. There are many selecting organizations here like Vedanta, Aditya Birla, and so on Over 70% of understudies from our branch do temporary jobs in organizations that have a place with our branch.

The college placement standards are very good and the college has a record of 100% placement. The college placement committee is very hardworking and they really do a commendable job in helping us to get placed. If we want to take part in the placement process we have to register our name with the placement committee and they make sure that every one of us is placed as per our interest and stream. Around 100+ companies visit our campus during the college placement drive. The highest package was around 1 CPA and the average salary package was around 14.30 LPA.

IIT Kharagpur is the largest IIT in India its spread over 2100 acres of land and is the house of more than 22000 people and the campus is culturally diversified. It gives us a good opportunity to learn about the different cultures. The college provides a good environment for learning and a good opportunity for research and project work. The college labs are ultra-high-tech and fully modern and equipped with the latest tools and research materials. The library is the house of many international books and international journals.

The campus life of the college is good. More focus of the faculty is towards academic studies. There are 5 fests E-Summit by Entrepreneurship Cell- about the industrial changes in the industry, Aavartan by Technocracy- technical fest, Samar by Shaurya (Sports Committee)- sports competition, Shruti by Raagaa (Music Club)- music festival, and Eclectika by Cultural Club-cultural fest. TEDx talk is also organised by the college. The college provides an ample environment for learning. The library is full of books from all types of authors academic and non-academic. The campus life of NIT Raipur is brilliant.

The college provides a 100% placement record. The placement committee is very hardworking and professional and is able to attract a good number of companies on the campus for placement. The highest package for the batch was around 18 LPA and the average package was around 10 LPA. I also received a package of 11 LPA from Google. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Barclays, Oracle, Wipro, Siemens, Adobe, Fiat, TATA, Reliance, etc visited the campus during the placement drive of the college.

For Mtech Semester fees for 1st sem is 42500 and for next two semesters are 37500 for each semester.And the overall semester fees for 2 years is 160000,all for general category student.Scholarship for GATE is available.Financial assistance for SC,ST,OBC students are available.Campus Placements are quite good this year.MNCs like Amazon,Codenation,PwC,Rebel Foods,etc with good CTC are visiting for campus placements.

Remarks

Research Prospective and Placements are Good this year(Amazon,Codenation,PwC etc. MNCs).Its an Indian Institute and Institute of National Importance with NIRF ranking 21 in 2020.It has worldwide research collaboration,with excellent network of communication.

Advantures at University of Hyderabad

Location and Reputation of the university. Location is important for placement and Internship perspective and reputation helps in getting off campus interview calls. UOH has good location and good research facilities, although placement is not very good but offline opportunities are plenty.

Excellent academic curriculum and most faculties are good. All faculty members are PhD and many of them has good research profiles. Exams are every semester and it depends on student to pass them, usually passing marks are not that hard to get.
