Ans. Yes, at some universities. BHU’s 2-year M.Lib.I.Sc accepts a recognised bachelor’s degree in any discipline with the prescribed marks. Panjab University also has a 2-year route open to graduates meeting its eligibility rules. Many one-year programmes, however, require B.Lib.I.Sc/B.Li.Sc.

Ans. There is no universal safe score. Cut-offs depend on the university, CUET paper, category, seat matrix and admission round. Students should compare their score with the current university merit/allotment list rather than relying on an old cut-off.

Ques. Is merit-based M.Lib.I.Sc admission available in 2026?

Ans. Yes. Panjab University’s one-year M.Lib.I.Sc admission for 2026-27 is merit-based, and selected/waiting lists were released in August 2026.

Course Curriculum Overview

I've always been interested in the course so I chose it when I got the chance. The syllabus should be a little more technology integrated and updated on some levels as some things that are taught to not have real world applications in most cases. The frequency and timing of the exams are good in this department. The internals are once in a month and finishes in a week.

Campus Life

The library has a lot fo resources that can be availed by all of the students. The classes are all equipped with projectors and we also have an ICT lab. We have SAMS (Student Admission Management System) portal through which we can keep track of our papers, marks, credits, etc.
