M.Lib.I.Sc Course Overview: Eligibility, Syllabus & Career Scope 2026

My fees structure is yearly 4000 . And i was student from central university therefore my fees is low, is very good university because of central and i did not get any scholar because i am general cast so i dont get any scholarship and yearly my fees was 4000/- and my library science course duration for 1 years undergraduate and postgraduate also is 1year so both year fees was 4000 total amount 8000 . and my university is really good and study is really well and lowest fees specially for middile class family who not afford fees and fees never increasing during my study

yes , why not but when i got admission my one is over all is on pandemic so my classes only in virtual and after that my post graduation was offline so my campus life is really good but during pandemic nothing conduct any annual events , functions so i could not tell more information about any events . Library have over 1,52,000 , 5258 e-books phd thesis and journals 1100 . Open access system student self pick and book issues and ebooks access by online remote access. There is only smart board and projector used to study.

The faculty was always supportive during the courses, classwork and Examination. Syllabus was always completed on time. There was no favoritism during the course. Teachers always gave their best and provided us with the best quality of education

I paid 35000 yearly while doing my masters in Library and Information Science. The students who got good points in entrance exams had to pay only 15000 for 2 semesters. There were Scholarships for other categories like ST, SC

we have to submit fees yearly or if some cannot sumit yearly fees he or she request the principal and sumit their fees in the end of course before final exams And there is a category wise charges of tuitions fees or other charges

the faculty to student ratio is very low but relationship between them is quite impressive in different semester there are different number of exam like in 1st there are 7 including practical and in 2nd sem there are inly 5 exam

I chose the course myself but for the real world applications i have still more to learn and prepare for the competitive exam . The area i need to improve will be on practical and it will be better if the teacher explain it in a simple term so that we can understand it more easily the timing of exams are ser according to the period.

We have IUN fest and Christmas celebration on December and the accessibility of books is good and the only facilities provided within the classroom is projecter and fans.we conduct sports events on September or October we have various activities like literary competitions and different sports.Social groups are EU,Etc

Campus life is really fun especially if you are in University hostel. The most important festival is the Varsity which usually last around 2-3 weeks around May. Various extracurricular activities, Sports are organised. There are also various clubs like Art club., Music club, etc. Moreover, the Infrasturcture of the University such as the Library is good. The Library has a well-maintained collection.

The curriculum is very relevant to the current trends. Various practical experiences as part of the syllabus really hepls.. Internships are also a part and this also really helps. But still there are some outdated course so removing those and implementing much updated courses will be really helpful. Exams are fine.. The difficulty level depends on the course.

University provide internship opportunities in the month of june and july. We will the opportunity to do internships in many prestigious institutions like IIT and IISc. Faculties are encouraging students to experience this unique opportunity,and some departments also provide fields trips in their field of expertise.

Campus spread over an area of 1000 acres with very good infrastructure. Students in university are friendly and highly encouraging. In every week there will be atleat 2 cultural and sports programmes hosted by different departments and student organisations

As I studied on scholarship so scholarship are available on guru Nanak dev university.gndu provides so many opportunities to take jobs in gndu.where you have to gives some written and practices exam and after clear that you can get jobs in gndu also.as I did masters in library and information almost fee of total 2 year degree is 1.5 lac

The carriculum of gndu is very relevant as I studied library and information science .the curriculum is designed in such way which is very useful in our life also.there should be such little changes in curriculum where students can do more practices.teachers should take more classes of ddc and cc

I've always been interested in the course so I chose it when I got the chance. The syllabus should be a little more technology integrated and updated on some levels as some things that are taught to not have real world applications in most cases. The frequency and timing of the exams are good in this department. The internals are once in a month and finishes in a week.

The library has a lot fo resources that can be availed by all of the students. The classes are all equipped with projectors and we also have an ICT lab. We have SAMS (Student Admission Management System) portal through which we can keep track of our papers, marks, credits, etc.

Two kinds of courses are offered to the students in the programme. They are Core Courses and Elective/Open courses. Core courses and Elective Courses are offered directly by the parent department offering the programme and Open elective courses are offered either by the parent department or by any other department. The maximum marks for continuous Evaluation shall be 40 and shall be based on the following components: Written Assignments/Oral Presentation/Term. All faculties are PhD honours. They have good knowledge of subjects

The Department of Library and Information Science of Kannur University provides good campus life. Department conducted many programs including seminars, workshops and some orientation programmes. The department is attached to the central library system which includes 55824 books, 213 periodicals, 17 newspapers, databases, 20000 e-books and e-journals.

Information systems, information retrieval, Advanced cataloging and ICT applications in library and Information science etc are in the checklist of the syllabus. The course is one year long and is divided into two semesters. Faculty take the academic program in the next level.

Libraries, Foreign Embassies, News agencies, Museums and galleries, Information centers etc are some common recruiting sectors for this course. Students can apply for the job post like chief librarian, assistant librarian, library attendant, record manager etc.

Job opportunities were high as in every colleges and universities there need a librarian also we can go for teaching profession.Maximum seniors were posted as librarian in the prestigious Universities and colleges of Assam. Recently few of seniors went for their Ph.d's as their main focus is on teaching.

My opinion regarding the course was high as from the beginning I wanted to become librarian so I opt for the course. The syllabus was the updated one with that the faculties of our Dept was way too good who focus on the all round development of the students.

Admission criteria for all the courses available at L.N Mithila University are Merit based. Form may be submitted either online or offline. Students applying should hold any bachelor? with diploma in library science or BLIS. Preference is provide to applicants with some experience in state or National Library. Merit list is prepared and applicants are called for counselling. After document verification, seats are allotted.

The MLIS course is a 1 year course and the fee to be paid for a year 13,500, which need to be paid in one instalment. Minority students on submitting income certificate are given redemption on fee payment. 13K for a course like MLIS after which we get placed in good libraries as librarians is not at all huge amount. More over the facilities provided by the college is also awesome. The fee structure is extremely nominal.

The student has to clear both these entrance exams of Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) and SAMS Odisha. They well be enrolled based on their marks and vacancy. There are total 12 seats available for this course.

The fees for 1st year is 75,400 rupees and 2nd year is 67,600 rupees. The fees are a bit expensive for this course because many students don't opt for a course in library. That's a rarity unless one really wishes to do it.

The faculty of my college was really good and all the teachers were really supportive especially the English department. All the teachers were well qualified and specialized in their subjects. They taught everything with utmost importance and helped the students a lot in dealing with their problems and questions regarding their subjects.

The extracurricular activities in my college were very good. The college organized several inter college competitions . Many societies like sports, debating , singing, dancing ,etc were formed. The college focused equally on skill development of students as well as in imparting educational knowledge.

Scholarship facility was provided by our university. There are many scholarship like scholarship on basis of merit, Girl child Higher Education Promotion Scheme, special scholarship for Education promotion in specific regions, Scholarship for defence wards, Minority scholarship, physically handicapped scholarship etc.

The course curriculum was very good. It helps us to enhance our managerial and social skills. It was a one year course. The curriculum was designed to impart the skills in practical manner and helps us to understand the working of the library management. Examinations are conducted at the end of the course.

More than 75 percent of the students get placement in the campus interview. Our University provides internship facilities to its students. There are many job opportunities in the field of library science like academic librarian, law librarian, school librarian, data curator etc. The average minimum salary package was around 2 lakh and the maximum salary package was around 4 lakh.

The university organizes many extracurricular activities. The sports Committee manage, develop and organize many sports in the university like football, basketball, volleyball, cricket, ludo, chess, carrom etc. Indoor activities was my favourite and i participate in all the indoor activities.

The faculties are well qualified and provide a good environment for studies. They also help and guide students for their career and research developments. They provide all the basic knowledge and skills for the growth of the students.

The course covers the management of the library, information studies, and operation. It also offers various other study materials and elective subjects where students can specialize in a particular subject and its requirements.

The fees for my course are very low. It is not expensive. The application fees are only 500 rupees. And for backward class students, the amount of the fee is half that is 250 rupees.I think fees are not at all expensive. It is good and affordable.

Students must have a graduation degree with a diploma certificate in Library Science. He/she must complete BLIS from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks.Our college conducts entrance examination for qualifying in this course.

Fee structure is very low price comparison another college or university by course like MLIS 15,500 BLIS 12,500 BCA 12000 per semester other courses have fee structure and general course have very low price intermediate 1800 approx according to subject.

Yes, scholarship gives to student it is verified with National student portal (NSP) many student got scholarship every year according to his course and also provide loan facility by student credit card its depend on course department.

They were very good. The campus is well saved. As our university not so well developed bt it is on the way. And the debates used to hold on the foundation day and in spring. The girls of our university are trying their best to succeed, labs are very well developed. All used to get equal opportunity.
