Provides excellence and expertise in desired field

The university provides best distant education in many UG PG and certification courses. It promotes students to achieve a degree far away from campus but still get the best knowledge. The practical classes are conducted at the headquarters which is very convenient for the students to attend. Faculty members are very supportive and the alumni and seniors are great help. There is no negative comment from my side.

The MLIS program prepares students to be the knowledge leaders by combining a solid theoretical base with practical experience. It is one year post graduate courses which focus more on planning and management, basics of computer skills, library management and techniques. The course is updated regularly. We have an advisory council which take the responsibility of updating the syllabus.

Placement in our college was good. I was among the once who got selected in the public and academic library in the campus placement. A lot of firms came to college and there were also many open placements on campus. Most of the students selected are in permanent positions today. According to me the placement cell is working on its best to bring good companies for all the course students.

The MLIS course is a 1 year course and the fee to be paid for a year 13,500, which need to be paid in one instalment. Minority students on submitting income certificate are given redemption on fee payment. 13K for a course like MLIS after which we get placed in good libraries as librarians is not at all huge amount. More over the facilities provided by the college is also awesome. The fee structure is extremely nominal.

Extra and Co-curricular activities are organised at our campus. I never got a chance to participate because of my busy schedule of work and studies. But there are many events conducted for students like sports, quiz etc. the library at the university is well known with huge number of books. Classrooms are well maintained and have projectors for good explanation and understanding.

We have an alumni meet every year. In the alumni meet, ex-students get a chance to meet the current students and share their experience in the industry. Alumni help the current students in getting internships in good firms as well as getting placed. Our seniors were also very friendly and helped us in our assignments. We have a WhatsApp group where we all connect regularly.

Admission criteria for all the courses available at L.N Mithila University are Merit based. Form may be submitted either online or offline. Students applying should hold any bachelor? with diploma in library science or BLIS. Preference is provide to applicants with some experience in state or National Library. Merit list is prepared and applicants are called for counselling. After document verification, seats are allotted.

I do not find any negative comment about my teachers. The entire faculty team are professionals with years of experience. They help the students whenever they require help. All my teachers are jolly and friendly. They are our role models and what I am today is only because of the values that our teachers provided us. . It is a self-instructional program and the assignments had to be submitted at the head quarter.
