Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure is very minimal in HR, Core and IB. It's like under 50000 for whole MBA. But in my course the fees is high. The whole costing of MBA EP is around 250000. But still very less then many of the colleges.

Campus Life

The life after college is very chill but the compulsion on attending lectures is quite strict. The university is too beautiful to walk and rome around with friends. The hostels are also good so as the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

I opted for MBA entreprenuership as the course framwork is designed in a way to give a holistic knowledge about business and management. The course has wide spectrum of Finance and marketing subjects which would also help during the placements. Moreover, my batch had only 11 students opting for MBA entrepreneurship, thus ensuring each one of us that we'd get proper attention from the proffessors. The proffessors in the university are highly qualified with atleast ONE PhD against their name. Intellectual capital is one of the distinguishing factors in this college. The level of exams increased during our exams. The marking is very strict in the college and getting 80% would make you the topper in the university. The process of examinations are very smooth and are conducted as per the schedule provided during the starting of batch.

There can never be a college life better than one at Punjab University campus. The Punjab university campus is said to have a charm which keeps everyone pulling back even after they pass out from their colleges. Punjab university also has the biggest library in the Union terittory namely AC Joshi library. AC Joshi library is a four storey building with over 2 lakh books. Apart from this Punjab university has multiple cricket grounds, football stadiums, auditoriums, hockey grounds, archery grounds, shooting range, badminton courts, swimming pools etc. The students of UBS have accesss to all these amenities during their course period since it is inside the Ounjab University campus.

No comments. As we were sponsored by canara bank and had got free seat through PGcet. I do not have any idea about the current University fee and Payment seats. As it differs from year to year. If you can get through PGcet and select this college you won't be charged for any kind of college donations or fees ..

Campus Life

You will have the exposure of attending multiple college fests and inter college competitions. We had the best library with almost all kinds and authors books available at the campus. We had best class room with good ventilation. All the faculty were highly supportive for sports activities.

Admission

Firstly We have to clear CAT to become eligible for this college. Every year college specify a CAT cutoff for the students. Students have to fill an application form for the college available at the Panjab University webite. Every year college specify the dates for the opening and closing of application form. After filling application form only they will consider you.It will cost around ?3000. Physical copy of the form have to be posted through Post office or the routes specified on the site. Then after that College announce the cutoff criteria based on CAT score. Generally it's around 85 to 90 percentile. Those students who have cleared the cutoff got eligible for the next round i.e. GDPI round. For that you have to come to college campus on the dates specified in the mail sent by the college to the eligible students. Yes, college will send the mail to the eligible students. Then after group discussion and personal interview results will announced after some days. A ranking chart got pasted in the PU site. So on the basis of ranking college invite students and student got the chance of selecting the subjects in which they want to do their MBA. There are around 70 seats for MBA general, 35 seats aur MBA IB, 35 seats for MBA HR and 25 seats for MBA Entrepreneurship. Every year GDPI happens most probably in March first and second week. But dates may change. You have to go through PU website for that. For getting your favourite stream ane has to gi e their best in GDPI so that they will get a higher rank and got earlier chance to choose their favourite stream. Generally for selecting a candidate, 75% weightage is given to CAT scores, 12.5% weightage to GD and 12.5% weightage to PI. So CAT scores matters alot here. Here your previous Graduation percentage or high school percentage don't matter much. What I mean to say is your previous percentage will not play much role in your selection decision. I opt for this course because in this course we get to learn about every field I.e. you got a variety of options to choose. If you want to pursue both Marketing as well as finance then you have that option. And entrepreneurship is the vital requirement of every country.

Placement Experience

List of companies visited in our college this year for the placement drives are as follows - HDFC, SBI General, SBI Life, Trident group, Tolaram Group, Wipro, Finxera, HSBC, Infosys, ICICI, Paisa Bazaar, American Express, CDB, HDFC AMC, KPMG, E&Y and many more Every year almost 100% students got placed but due to recession this year around 90% students got placed. Average package offered- 9.5 lacks p.a. Minimum package - 6.5 lakhs p.a. For summer placement, companies used to visite our campus are American express, Finxera, HDFC, HDFC AMC, Zigram, Pikkol, Honda, Tata AIA, Aditya Birla Sunlife, Khadi Essentials, Grazitti, Delhivery, Volvo, United Breweries Ltd, etc. CV is made by us in the format specified by the institution only. UBS's alumn vase is very huge. So everytime when a company visits, our professors used to greet them and make sure they will get a remarkable experience at UBS. UBS's hospitality is very famous among companies who visit here. Since MBA Entrepreneurship is started from 2019 only, we are the first batch of this course here, So placement of this batch will going to happen in 2020-21. Though in case of Summer internship, the first student who got an internship is from our stream. He got the internship in American Express.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our entire course curriculum was pretty simple, yet thorough. I was working in the corporate sector before joining the institute and I have to admit, it was a self refectory journey. I learned many things from this executive program apart from my domain, which eventually helped in having a better understanding of organizational behavior. Classes were Our course spanned over 2 years, divided into 4 semesters.

Placement Experience

Our institute has a tie-up with some decent companies including Tata, Indian Oil, HDFC, ICICI, etc. These, and some other, companies would visit our campus for placement drives but placements are not as good as it should be for an MBA program. Most of the hiring is done for the sales, consultant and HR profiles and packages offered are also not that good, to be honest.

Ques. What is the placement scenario for MBA in Entrepreneurship and family business from NMIMS, mumbai?

● Top Answer By Garima Rai on 01 Mar 23

Ans. The placement scenario for MBA in Entrepreneurship and family business from NMIMS, Mumbai is decent but not at par with a regular MBA. However, this is understandable enough as the course is less in demand than the regular MBA. However, the packages offered are quite low because the students joining the program are no geniuses with great academic backgrounds and interview performances. The low demand is the main reason for low packages. Mainly the students who choose this program over a regular MBA, don’t want to settle just for a job. Their primary goal is to get a better understanding of running a business. So the role offered pays less but is challenging enough. Anyone who is considering this profile should pay the least attention to packages and placement as the main agenda is to prepare for entrepreneurship. So your goal should be to get a challenging profile at a good company even if the package is low. Another major benefit of doing this course is getting yourself associated with an elaborate alumni network which will prove to be useful in the future.Read more

Ques. Which is a better career choice for MBA: BIMTECH (Insurance buisness management) or SIBM Pune (Enterpreneurship and innovation)?

● Top Answer By Aditi Banerjee on 17 Apr 23

Ans. BIMTECH's Insurance Business Management programme or SIBM Pune's Entrepreneurship and Innovation programme, the choice depends on your professional goals. BIMTECH's Insurance Business Management programme gives students a solid insurance and risk management foundation. The programme prepares students for careers in the significant and rising insurance business, which includes underwriting, claims administration, risk analysis, and sales and marketing. SIBM Pune's Entrepreneurship and Innovation programme is for students interested in launching their own businesses or working in entrepreneurial contexts. The programme teaches how to find new business possibilities, write business strategies, and run a profitable business. Both programmes have great job opportunities, but they impart different skills and knowledge. BIMTECH's Insurance Business Management programme is ideal for insurance professionals. If you want to establish a business or work in an entrepreneurial setting, then SIBM Pune's Entrepreneurship & Innovation programme is better. Consider your strengths, interests, and career goals before making a decision though.Read more
