Midwifery & Gynecological Nursing

• Midwifery: This subject focuses on acquiring knowledge and gaining skills to meet the needs of women during pregnancy, labor, and puerperium and care for the newborn. The topics covered are the Reproductive system, Embryology and foetal development, Normal pregnancy and its management, Normal labor and its management, Management of newborns, Management of normal puerperium, Management of complications during pregnancy, etc.
• Gynecological Nursing: This subject focuses on identifying different gynecological disorders and diseases and gaining skills in providing nursing care to women suffering from them. The topics covered are Puberty, Fertility and infertility, Pelvic infections, Gynaecological disorders, Breast disorders, and Menopause.

Community Health Nursing

• Community Health Nursing-II: This subject focuses on community health nursing for the individual, family, and groups in both urban and rural settings by using concepts and principles of health and community health nursing. The topics covered are Heath system in India, the Health care delivery system, Health planning in India, Specialized community health services and nurse’s role, National health problems, National Health program, Demography and family welfare, Health Teams, Health Information systems, and Health Agencies.
