To be eligible to take up a GNM course, candidates should have the following qualifications:

• 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually for any recognized board. Candidates from State Open School recognized by the State Government and the National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by the Central Government. However, Science is preferable.

OR

• 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in vocational ANM course from the school recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.

OR

• 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in Vocational Stream-Health care Science from a recognized CBSE board/Centre.

OR

• Registered ANM with a pass mark.

NOTE: 5% in 10+2 is relaxed for SC/ST candidates.

Bihar GNM Nursing Admission 2025: Registration Process

Candidates must check the institute website regularly and know the exact admission process for the GNM course in Bihar. The general admission process is as follows.

• Applicants are required to download the application form and the prospectus from the official website.
• Applicants should diligently fill out the form and make sure they have given true information without making any errors. If any errors are made, correct them before submitting the form. An erroneous form can be rejected and applicants might lose their admission.
• The details that need to be filled include personal, educational, family, course-related details and much more.
• Candidates have to upload a passport-size photograph and a signature.
• If it is an online form, the photograph and the signature would be asked for in a particular size and/or format.
• After candidates have checked their forms thoroughly, the final step is submitting the form.

The results of all the admissions are usually put up on the websites of the BCECE. Candidates should log in using their credentials to check the result. The result will indicate whether a candidate is eligible for the counselling round or not.

• The registration for the counselling process will start and end on a given day decided by the counselling body. Before it closes, the applicants are required to register, pay the registration fees and choose the colleges they wish to be allotted in the order of preference.
• After that, an allotment process takes place where the students are allotted a college of their highest preference based on the cut-off, the applicants’ score and the availability of seats.
• Allotment is usually done through online counselling. However, Physical (manual) counselling can be done in any round if such a need arises.
• Selected students are usually expected to report within the next week or within the dates assigned.
• If candidates are not happy with the allotment, they can register for Round 2.
