Jharkhand GNM Nursing Admission 2025: Eligibility

Candidates are required to fulfil the GNM Nursing eligibility criteria if they want to pursue GNM courses in Jharkhand. You can check the eligibility criteria as per INC below. 

• Candidates must have cleared class 12 with English and must have scored a minimum of 40% marks in the exam and English individually. Candidates are also eligible if they are from a state open school recognised by the State Government or NIOS recognised by the Central Government. Candidates with science background are preferred. 
• Candidates are eligible if they have cleared class 12 with English and 40% marks in the vocational ANM course from a school recognised by the Indian Nursing Council (INC). 
• Candidates are also eligible  if they have cleared class 12 with English and 40% marks in the vocational stream – Healthcare Science from a CBSE board. 
• Registered ANMs with passing marks can also apply. 
• Reservation is provided to SC, ST and disabled candidates as per the State Government reservation policy. 
• Candidates must be between 17 years to 35 years of age at the time of application. 
• They must be medically fit to pursue the course. 

Jharkhand GNM Nursing Admission 2025: Application Form

Candidates who wish to pursue the diploma degree of GNM from Jharkhand can do so by applying for the Nursing Entrance Competitive Examinations (NECE) conducted by the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB). The Application Form is available only in online mode on the official website of JCECEB. It can be filled between August 24, 2025 – September 14, 2025.

The steps to apply for Jharkhand GNM nursing are given below.

• Visit the official website.
• Click on ‘Online Application Submission – JCECEB’.
• Click on ‘Nursing Entrance Competitive Examination-2025 (NECE-2025) ’.
• In the NECE tab click on the 'Useful Important Link' section
• Fill in the required details
• Create Login Credentials.
• Log in and fill in the form with the required information as stated.
• Upload the asked documents.
• Submit the form and pay the application fee.
• Application fee can be paid through online mode only. The application fee is INR 900 (INR 450 in case of reserved category students)

The examination conducted for admission to GNM is objective type. There are a total of 150 questions with five major sections. Each question carries one mark.

The questions for Jharkhand GNM Nursing admission examination will be of an intermediate level for English and will be of a metric level for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. The detailed syllabus for each subject is given in the table below.

Jharkhand GNM Nursing Admission 2025: Result and Merit List

• The result for the Jharkhand GNM entrance examination or NECE is made available on the official website of JCECEB from October 17, 2025.
• The result is announced in the form of a merit list. The candidate can find their result by logging in on the official portal. 
• The merit list issued is arranged in rank-wise order. If two candidates have the same rank then the candidate with more marks in Biology is given the preference. 
• If the Biology marks are also the same, the candidate with more marks in Chemistry will be placed above in the rank list. 
• Candidates with the same marks in Biology and Chemistry, then the rank is decided by the marks scored in Physics. If the marks obtained in all the subjects are the same then the alphabetical order is kept in mind while processing the rank list.

Jharkhand GNM Nursing Admission 2025: Counselling Process

The counselling for admission to GNM in Jharkhand takes place after the declaration of the result of the entrance examination.

• The candidates get admission to various colleges offering GNM based on the scores obtained in the entrance examination.
• The candidates is required to fill in the form for counselling made available on the official website of JCECEB and register themselves.
• Seats are allotted based on the candidate scores, preference, category and the availability of seats.
• Once allotted a seat, candidate have to report at the allocated institute for document verification and admission. 

Reservation for Jharkhand GNM Nursing Admission 2025

The seats are reserved for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category, BC-I, BC-II, Schedule Tribe (ST), Primitive Tribe, Schedule Caste (SC), and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates. The reservation for the seats of GNM is based on the reservation policy of the state of Jharkhand.
