Delhi DElEd Admission is conducted by the SCERT Delhi. SCERT Delhi will release the Delhi DElEd 2025 Application Forms tentatively in April 2025. Delhi DElEd admission is done on the basis of an entrance exam followed by the Delhi DElEd merit list. There are various modes or types of DElEd that students can choose from, such as Pre DElEd, NIOS DElEd, Online DElEd, and Distance DElEd.
DElEd is a two-year diploma course offered by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT). DElEd trains students to become primary and upper primary teachers. In Delhi the SCERT,New Delhi will be conducting DElEd admission 2025.
The Government DIETs offered a total of 1040 seats in 2024 and SFS private institutes offered 1900 seats in total. Out of 1040 DIET seats, 20 seats are allotted to students who apply for the Urdu language and 40 seats for the candidates who opt for the Punjabi language as a medium of teaching.

Delhi DElEd Admission 2025: Admission Process
Candidates seeking admission to this course have to follow the given steps to apply for Delhi DElEd Admission:
Online Form Submission
- Go to the official website www.scertdelhiadmission.nic.in and fill out the online form.
- The online form submission process is in two parts
- Candidate Registration
- Entrance Application Submission
- The candidate then needs to submit the required documents.
- The correction window will open along with the choice filling option window.
- Successful submission of the registration form will send an SMS to the candidate.
- Entrance Application Fees need to be paid Online.
- Candidates have to pay the fee of Rs. 500 as a registration fee.
- Select the quota i.e., a qualifying examination from Delhi to other than Delhi(OP) pass out or from Delhi to pass out (DP).
- Candidates have to select any one of the above quotas as they have to be separated on 85% and 15% seats Criteria.
Delhi DElEd Admission 2025: Eligibility
Applicants need to go through the eligibility criteria before applying for the DElEd course. Failing to clear any point will lead to rejection of the application.
- Candidates must have scored at least 50% in 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognised Board or university.
- A 5% relaxation in minimum marks required is allowed for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
- Candidates applying for the D.El.Ed. course in Urdu (DIET-Darya) or Punjabi (DIET-Karkardooma) must have passed Urdu or Punjabi as a subject in both their 10th and 12th exams. Each institute has 20 seats available for these languages. This applies only to government DIETs.\
- Candidates should be physically fit and have a Medical Certificate from a Registered MBBS or equivalent recognized degree.
- Candidate should not be more than 24 years of age. 5 years of relaxation in the upper age limit is provided for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

Delhi DElEd Admission 2025: Counselling Process
- There will be three merit lists according to which candidates can seek admission to their respective colleges.
- Candidates are required to deposit INR 1,000 to SCERT to participate in the Counselling Process.
- Once the seat is allotted to any candidate, they can freeze the seat or opt for the slide up option.
- A non-refundable part admission amount of INR 3600 needs to be paid at the time of admission.
- Freezing the seat will confirm the allotment of the seat and will not consider the candidate for the next list.
- Choosing slide up will consider the candidate in the next seat for a higher preference, if the candidate is allotted a new seat in any future allotment, their previous seat will not be retained.
- A candidate once admitted to any college will not be able to withdraw the admission.
- After completion of all the rounds if the seats remain vacant, then the authority will conduct an online spot counseling.
