Campus Life

The College campus and infrastructure is quite good and peaceful. Library has a good collection of books covering all the subjects. There are clubs like science club, maths club, books club and so on. Students will also have extracurricular classes like dancing, painting, ncc and so on weakly once.

Placement Experience

College has a placement cell. Final year students can register for placements through placement cell. Placements are numerous with a good package for B.com and BBA courses. However it was a bit difficult for life science students. We only got few placements for life sciences.

Campus Life

The social aspect of the campus was very bleak when I joined because the country was still recovering from covid. But as time passed, the cultural festivities and clubs started to make their comeback. There are currently about 6-7 clubs that are running in the college. The college also holds conferences about twice a year which is great exposure for all students. Along with fests and seminars and talks, I'd say the social aspect of the college is pretty good to have a balanced academic life.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of my particular course (genetics and biochemistry) 1st year - 80k of which I got a 10k concession due to scoring good marks From second year onwards it's been 65k for every course. Of course scholarships and concessions do exist. One must apply for it at the right time and place. The entire fee structure is properly broken down into categories such as lab, sports facilities, classroom etc etc.

Faculty

In Shadan Degree College, all the lecturers are thoroughly qualified. They have their masters in their concerned subject and some also have their Bachelors in Education which makes them qualified. The teacher-student ratio is as good as it can be and it helps the students to gain insightful knowledge without any fear. The faculty other than teachers, like the aayas are also kind in nature. They help us with our academic related needs nicely. We could interact with the teachers whenever we needed and required help and they would be very present to respond to our needs immediately.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee is quite affordable for the people who have good financial background but for the students who have financial problems might find it difficult to pay the fees at the specified time and thats why they couldn't continue their studies. The government provides scholarships for the students who want to avail tho. Personally, i have went to Maulana Azad National Urdu University to do my project and make a thesis on RPL.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am currently a third year undergraduate student of B.Sc Genetics(2022-2025). Since Genetics is sort of like a mother subject, it involves aspects of many dofferent subjects like, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Evolutionary Biology, Biophysics, Statistics, Ethics, Immunology, etc. Our curriculum covers all the necessary topucs and subjects that are required to fully understand Genetics. Every subject is there in great detail. Along with the theoretical approach of all these subjects, the practical part is also very specific and vast as it covers all the necessary topics required and prepares us for a lot of real world problems we might face while pursuing our masters

Campus Life

Our college hosts an Annual Sports Meet regularly. We celebrate almost all the major festivals such as Saraswati Pujo, Teacher's Day, Independence Day, etc. Apart from this, Fresher's Party and Farewell Party are also oragnised. Last year, our college celebrated it's 20 year birthday with a 2 day event comprising of performances, recitations, music, drama, ceremonies, etc.Our library is very well stacked with books from every department and the librarians are very helpful and guide us. The process of issuing is also very easy. We have a digital library too. There aren't many student run groups or clubs and they should be made.

Yeah, campus gives us the freedom to do anything but in a positive manner. We had a fresher day nd there will be at least 3 programs in a month. There will be a food stall and book stall which are done by students and also we have a Library.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is a little bit affordable. one year is divided into 2 semesters and we should pay the fees for each sem. There is no scholarship option for our college. The fee structure is based on the course taken.
