REVIEW OF JSS MEDICAL COLLEGE

The medical genetics course curriculum is generally rated highly in terms of relevance and comprehensive research, genetics is critical field due to its growing role in precision medicine, genetic counselling and understanding hereditary diseases, it has advanced testing and treatments. These are some of the specific aspects which encouraged me to choose this course. It helps us know about the various genetic disorders in real world and in medical conditions. the exams are conducted every semester the difficulty of the exam depends on how well you have prepared.

There will be various internship opportunity programs every sem you will be given equal opportunities for everyone. There will be different companies offering you different opportunities. And also the stipend depends on the internship opportunity provided. There are various projects and various exhibitions conducted to exhibit your works.

Usually there are placements in our college. If any student does not get a placement the faculty guide us what we can do next like the companies in which we can apply and how we can go further. In my course after finishing the bachelors degree you can further study masters it is available in our college itself or yoj can aplly for companies but if you do your masters you have a better opportunity and high posts for you better career. The course is of 8 semester you become eligible for campus placements in 7th semester. The last year that is seventh and eighth semester is basically practical and lot of projects provided. There various companies are seniors have applied and offered for example the genetic company in Bangalore that is Med gen. The highest package offered is 50000 and the average starts from 25000 placements in college. There is 75 percentage of students getting placements from our college. My plans after getting the degree is to go for further studies and do the masters after that i would like to do job along with my phd, this is my plan after getting my bachelors degree.

The fees structure for me right now is 115000 per year the tuition fees caution fees admission fees development fees lab fees everything is included in yearly fees. But you have to pay half yearly examination fee every semester for various subjects. There is no change in fees structure for different categories it remains the same for everyone. Hence the fees increases every year for newly admission students. Overall the fee structure is affordable and worth

My overall campus experience is the best not only in academics but also socially. Every year there is a festival conducted in our college it is a yearly festival and we celebrate it grandly it includes both sports and cultural activities. Various sports are played and various cultural events are performed. It goes on for a week. Three days sports and three days cultural events. The name of the FEST is AMOGUTSAV this is typically held in July and August. We have various types of books in library like , journals text books, question banks, newspapers, articles, fiction books, biography, autobiography and many more. The classrooms have well defined benches, ACs are provided in every classrooms there are different types of classrooms for different purposes, we have a seminar hall, auditorium and many other. There are various sports and extracurricular activities offered in campus there is bandminton court basketball court cricket field volleyball field and many athletics are played.

I choose this college over other colleges, there are various reasons some of them are due its campus placements, due to the infrastructure of the university and also its various options of having various coarses, faculty focusing on each students individually. If we compare my college with other colleges it is better in the campus space the maintenance of hostel accommodations and various tech facilities. Colleges which I applied were not as good as to this. You can online apply to the college or the through personally. There will be interview before the admission. I applied to Manipal institute, yenopaya medical college manglore and dayanand sagar university other than jss college I received confirmed admission from yenopaya and dayanand. The admission process of our college is you can either apply it online or through offline you have both option. The eligibility is you have to get 75 percent above in both sslc and 2nd puc exams. My overall admission experience was fine if we compare it to other colleges.

The faculty here is highly educated and qualified everyone are either doctors or phd degrees, here the faculty to student ratio is 3:1. The relationship of the student and teacher is very well whenever we have a doubt may it be regarding studies or other issues they help us and guide us in the rightway. The faculty is available during the college hours and also after that. There is no such best faculty everyone is good in their own ways. For each semester we have 2 exams conducted before the final semester exam they are internal exams if you get eligible in these exams you are qualified for final semester exams. These exams difficulty depends on the paper preparation process. The criteria for eligibility is 50 percent and 80 percentage attendance.

There was group discussion and interview but not any written test before admission. The topics was general it various from student to student Interview questions are like why you chose this course, what is your aim and what are the future plans. The process is you can apply it online or offline depending on your comfort and then you have an interview. You don't need any heavy preparation just be yourself.

My favourite hangout spot is a park which is there inside the campus. We can access library in late nights basketball court is available and badminton court. After the classes are done students usually play sports or hangout with friends inside the campus. These experiences provide me with lifetime memories. There is gym with proper equipments and trainer in college premises, there is cafeteria with various and food items. Hostel and campus timings is before 10. Some of the famous hangout spots are park cafe in the campus. Outside campus you have various places to visit and various cafés around the campus to roam at night.
