- Kcd college exist for over a century. College has a legacy but everything is worst here.

Dislikes
- Faculty behaviour of Kalpana Dalwai. Very disgusting. She might have forgotten how her appointment was done. Her teaching is very worst. Poor in English Communication, Always targeting and harassing students.
- College don't give good internal marks, like other college do. Faculties are least bothered about placements. Students don't get placement here. They don't even care about their students, faculties are always in their attitude
- BCA infrastructure is not good. Chairs are very old. They don't have smart classes. Poor drinking water facility. Very outdated curriculum back then. We were taught NON CBCS curriculum. Class were not engaging regularly. Poor response from faculty.
Course Curriculum Overview
Now the syllabus has changed. New emerging technologies trends and subjects are introduced in new curriculum. Data science, Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security are now taught. Practical marks are reduced to 50 marks. Term end examinations are conducted twice in a year. Exams are not that difficult. Usually previous year questions appear in the exams.
Fees and Financial Aid
Hi dear students. I was enrolled in Bsc Computer Science by department of BCA and BSC CS, Kcd. The college is a constituent college of Karnataka University, Dharwad. The tuition fees which I paid back in 2019 was around 21 K. Now the BSc Cs course has been discontinued after the Implementation of NEP in 2020. It is increased as of now. For Management seats, Sc/St fees are different. Also Scholarship are given to them.
Campus Life
College has NCC / NSS. It was during Covid time, we were from unlucky batch, many youth festivals are held, freshers day and ethnic day are held. Students are more interested in fests rather than studies.
Admission
The college was know for it's name. Here attendance was not considered that seriously. Fees was very less at that time. I went to Jss college the principal took undertaking for not scoring less than 75% in every semester. The college was strict for it's discipline, classes. Candidate has to pass 12 th/ PUC for lateral entry BCA they take students from Diploma. Candidates with merit list has reduced fees. Management seats/ self financed seats are also there. We were asked to write some objective questions for the formality sake. Admission can be done easily
Faculty
There are four permanent faculties. Guest faculties and Teaching Assistants are also assisting with labs and other teaching duties. Lalitha Naik and Ambika Dhane are nice faculties in permanent faculties. They are very approachable. Treat every student as their kids (At least they say) Non permanent faculties like Shreenidhi Bhat and Archana Siddhanti are nice. Worst faculty is Kalpana Dalwai. Very disgusting Known for targeting student's. Giving poor marks. Making comments. Blackmailing student's. Poor in teaching and English Communication. Worst kind of person. Irresponsible coordinator. Very frustrating experience. Exams are held semester wise. Internal assessment are held twice in every semester. We had six subjects in each semester. Final year final year we had a project of 300 marks. Now curriculum has totally changed
Night Life
Canteen is good, evening snacks are good Library is good with many books but books can be taken and returned only on specific days, it is as per department where the student belongs to. Library timings is usually same as college timings, College has Gymkhana and they have two grounds. There are many hostels including BCM hostel. They place is safe for student's as they have many guards in the college campus, it's in the main area so safe to walk and hangout inside and around the campus.
