BBA vs BCom: Which is easy?

It depends on the student how easy a subject is. Some students will find BBA tough whereas others will find Com to be tough.

  • If you are good at maths and solving high-value numbers then BCom will be easy for you.
  • BBA is largely a theory-based subject, thus if a student is good at theory-based subjects then BBA will be easier for them.
  • BBA is a Business Management course whereas BCom is more towards Finance and Accountancy, thus the interest of the student will also determine which is easier, BBA or BCom.

BBA vs BCom: Which has more scope?

BBA and BCom both have enormous scope upon their completion. Some of the major scopes for BBA and BCom are mentioned below:

  • BBA graduates have the chance to work as HR managers, operations Team Leaders, Marketing executives, and Business Development executives. BCom graduates have the chance to work as CA, Cost Accountant, Company Secretary, etc

BBA vs BCom for CA?

Most students go for BCom to study CA after that. But there is no rule that CA needs to be done after BCom. BBA graduates also can study CA after completing their BBA. BCom has some advantages for studying CA since the subjects are the same. It helps them concentrate on the CA preparation without understanding anything extra.

BBA vs BCom: Which is better for an MBA?

Candidates can take up an MBA course after the completion of their graduate degree. Both the courses offer the candidate some amount of prelude about the curriculum that they have to cope with in the MBA syllabus. Let us do a comparative study of BBA or BCom which is better suited for an MBA.

Parameters BBA  BCom Inference
Duration 3 years 3 years The duration of both the courses are for 3 years, so neither of them holds any type of advantage on the other.
Specialization BCom in Accounts and Finance, BCom in Marketing, BCom in Economics, etc. BBA in Finance, BBA in Marketing, BBA in Human Resource Management, BBA in Operations  The specializations offered in BBA are more in tune with the specializations that are offered in MBA. Thus, the candidates of BBA are more likely to have an edge while studying the MBA course.
Subjects Economics, Marketing Management Courses, Corporate accounting, etc Organisational Behaviour, Advertising Management, Market Research, Financial Accounting, etc The BCom syllabus allows the candidates to form a more in-depth knowledge of different subjects. On the other hand, the subjects of BBA have more real-life case studies that help the candidates understand different real-life business environments. Hence, the BBA subjects are closer to the ones taught in the MBA.
Placements Limited placement opportunities in management or administration sectors Comparatively better placement opportunities in management and administrative sectors of the business. Ques. What questions can be expected in an IIM Indore IPM interview?

● Top Answer By Sagardeep on 09 Jan 23

Ans. The questions in an IIM Indore IPM interview are mostly about academics. They are focused on your personal introduction. That is, your hobbies and interests are well taken into account and questions will be asked right on that to check the depth of your 'desired field'. They inquire about your favorite subjects and pose questions about them. They want to know why you want to take the course, what your future plans are, your strengths and weaknesses, and your knowledge of current events. They also assess your general knowledge and mental alertness. Though the questions are simple, you will be bombarded with them in order to put you under pressure.  If they believe you are well-versed in your subjects, they will dig deeper and only leave you if you are exhausted. If you succeed in all of this, you will undoubtedly find yourself inside the circular column of IIM Indore. The IPM interview is one-of-a-kind, personifying the course itself. It is both difficult and simple at the same time.Read more

Ques. How is the IPM program at IIM Rohtak?

● Top Answer By Himani Rawat on 04 Jul 23

Ans. IIM Rohtak has been ranked at an impressive 12th rank in NIRF 2023 rankings. People have doubts about joining IIM Rohtak as it stands below the top IIMs. However, IIM Rohtak is rapidly growing and achieving new heights and you should not worry about choosing IIM Rohtak for your studies. The IPM is a 5-year integrated management program at IIM Rohtak. On completion of this program, you will receive a BBA+MBA degree. If you attain a 5.0 CGPA in your first three years, then only will you be eligible to continue for the next two years for your MBA. Otherwise, you will exit the program with a BBA degree with a CGPA not below 4.0. Even if you wish to exit the course after 3 years, you can do so by informing the office within the stipulated time in the third year of the course. Instead of joining another institution for your BBA and then trying for IIM A/B/C through your CAT, you should join the IPM program at IIM Rohtak. Even if you do not score as much in your CAT, you will have the backup plan of completing your MBA from IIM Rohtak (in this case you will get a single CAT attempt in November third year). Most students from the IPM program at IIM Rohtak give their CAT or GMAT in the third year. So if you wish to switch to another higher-ranking IIM or go for a foreign MBA, you can do so. The IIM Rohtak campus offers all the facilities to its students and you will also enjoy life at Rohtak in general. Rohtak is only 70 km away from Delhi so the international airport is only an hour or two’s drive from the IIM Rohtak campus. The cost for the course is around INR 36 Lakhs, which is on the expensive side. However, you also get to stay at IIM for 5 years and learn from some of the best teachers in India. You can consider the fee structure, placements, and other aspects before joining the program. However, if you do make up your mind, the IPM course at IIM Rohtak is a good choice.Read more

Ques. Is IPM IIM Rohtak worth it?

● Top Answer By Arun Sharma on 09 Jan 23

Ans. IIM Rohtak is a very newly established IIM that has yet to make its place in the IIM family. Because of its recent establishment people deem it not worthy of the IIM tag. But in reality, it’s gradually picking up pace and by the time its first batch will graduate (2024), it will have climbed the ladder higher.  People think the IPM program offered by IIM Rohtak is a backdoor for people who want to escape the CAT exam. In reality, most of the students plan to give CAT or GMAT or both at the end of their third year. Even if one compares Rohtak and Indore, we can clearly see that Rohtak is way ahead of Indore. The first batch placements of Rohtak are better than Indore.  Some consider the lack of connectivity and cost also a reason why Rohtak is not worth it. But let me shed some light on this matter. Rohtak is just 70 km away from Delhi. The International airport is just an hour or two 's drive from the campus. So the connectivity issue is resolved here. As far as the cost is considered, one should not underestimate the 5 years he will be spending at an IIM campus with top-notch facilities and the most learned faculty and brilliant peers. All the investment is worth it. The final decision is yours to make but does remember that IIM Rohtak will have climbed the ladder in just a few years.Read more

Ques. Can I expect a placement after studying BBA at NMIMS?

● Top Answer By Disha Mittal on 18 Jan 22

Ans. The placement scenario is quite good at NMIMS Mumbai. According to the reviews online, they provide ample opportunities for jobs in MNC’s. Lots of reputed companies visit the campus during their placement process choosing the deserving candidates. Hence the competition is usually high. But the one thing that students have shown their concern about are the salary packages offered. The data in the website is said to be inflated to attract more candidates. But in a more true sense the salary packages are really less than portrayed. The college claims to provide an average salary package ranging from 15-16 LPA, mostly the students are offered 9-10 LPA. The course BBA is really good and full of opportunities, but it is suggested that you complete MBA also to get a better salary package from a reputed company like KPMG, EY, American Express, ICICI Bank, etc. They have a highly experienced faculty, so  you will get to learn a lot.Read more
