BBA Subjects in 3rd year consist of core subjects like Financial Derivatives, International Finance, Investment Banking & Financial Services, Strategic Corporate Finance, Corporate Analysis & Valuation, Behavioral Finance etc.

Practical subjects in 3rd year of the BBA Syllabus are statistics, maths, and accounts. The practical marks are added to the theory marks and the percentage is calculated on the total. The elective subjects of the BBA 3rd Year Syllabus are Strategic Corporate Finance, Behavioral Finance, Management of Financial Institutions, International Financial Architecture etc.

BBA 3rd year Subjects

In the fifth semester of the BBA 3rd year, the core subjects are Investment Analysis & Portfolio Management and Financial Derivatives. The electives are Investment Banking & Financial Services, Corporate Analysis & Valuation, Business Tax Planning, and Advanced Financial Econometrics. Students have to choose any two subjects from the electives.

In the sixth semester of the BBA 3rd year, the core subjects are Corporate Restructuring and International Finance. The electives are Strategic Corporate Finance, Behavioral Finance, Management of Financial Institutions, and International Financial Architecture. BBA 5th Semester Subjects

  • Investment Analysis & Portfolio Management: This subject focuses on a conceptual framework for analysis from an investor’s perspective of maximizing return on investment. The topics covered are the Basics of risk and return, Share valuation, Portfolio analysis, and Capital asset pricing model (CAPM). 
  • Financial Derivatives: This subject focuses on principles and techniques of financial derivatives, their trading and strategic application. The topics covered are the History of derivatives, Factors affecting option Prices, The Greek Letters, and an understanding of Interest rate swaps.
  • Investment Banking & Financial Services: This subject focuses on different aspects of Investment banking, mergers and acquisition and the detailed SEBI guidelines on issue management.
  • Corporate Analysis & Valuation: This subject focuses on the analysis of the health of a company through its annual reports, through management quality analysis. The topics covered are Analysis of Corporate Financial Statements, Introduction to Valuation, and Discounted Cash flow Valuation.
  • Business Tax Planning: This subject focuses on the corporate tax structure and Tax planning in operational as well as strategic terms. The topics covered are Tax planning, Tax planning with reference to setting up a new business, Tax planning with reference to specific management decisions, and Tax deducted at source.
  • Advanced Financial Econometrics: This subject focuses on financial econometric concepts and techniques. The topics covered are Financial time Series econometrics, Regression models with cross-sectional financial data, Asset price volatility, and Economic forecasting.

The faculty is good they are well versed in all the current affairs, most of the faculty have completed their Ph.D., and they help us understand the concepts well. They have provided us with the required study material. We have a sem-end exam at end of every semester with 2 internals every 2 months and 2 presentations in a semester.
