Uttar Pradesh BArch Admission 2024 is based on NATA entrance examination and is conducted by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University. UP BArch Admission is done on the basis of NATA scores. The candidate who has passed class 12 with a minimum score of 50% is eligible to get admission to Uttar Pradesh BArch through the entrance examination. Special round result for BArch counselling 2024 is available on UPTAC official website. 

BArch is a 5-year undergraduate agriculture course. Uttar Pradesh BArch Admission usually begins after the NATA or JEE Main Paper 2 results are declared.

Uttar Pradesh BArch Admission 2024: Eligibility

The educational qualification required for the candidate to be eligible to take admission in Uttar Pradesh BArch is mentioned below:

  • The candidate must have passed class 12 with a minimum score of 50% from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
  • The candidate must also have scored a minimum of 50% individually in all the three compulsory subjects.
  • The candidates with a Diploma degree in Mathematics as a compulsory subject with a minimum of 50% aggregate are also eligible to sit for the entrance examination.

Uttar Pradesh BArch Admission Process 2024

The application for the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination for BArch is made available online on the official website of the Uttar PradeshSEE. The offline mode of the application form is not accepted and the application will be straight away rejected if any candidate applies in such a manner.

  • Visit the official website.
  • Fill in the application form with basic details.
  • After filling in the required basic details the applicant has to set Uttar Pradesh a password and security pin. Remember the password and security pin for further reference.
  • Uttar Pradeshload the scanned images of recent photograph and signature.
  • After Uttar Pradeshloading pay the application fee.
  • Take the printout of the final application form.

The application fee for General, Male, and OBC category candidates is INR 1,300.

The application fee for the SC, ST, and Female and PH category candidates is INR 650.

Uttar Pradesh BArch Admission 2024: Exam Pattern

The entrance examination for admission to Uttar Pradesh BArch is conducted in two parts.

  • Part A consists of Mathematics and Aesthetic Sensitivity and Part B consists of Drawing Aptitude.
  • There are 50 questions each for Mathematics and Aesthetic Sensitivity making a total of 100 questions for Part A.
  • The questions for Part A are objective type.
  • There are 2 questions for Drawing Aptitude.
  • The total marks of the question paper are 600.

Uttar Pradesh BArch Admission 2024: Result

The result of the BArch entrance examination at Uttar PradeshSEE is declared online on the official website. After the declaration of the result, a merit list is prepared and issued by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University. The merit list is also published online on the official website of AKTU. The candidate can also look Uttar Pradesh the scorecard. The scorecard contains details like marks scored in each subject and the number of questions attempted wrong.

  • Visit the official website.
  • Login using credentials.
  • After logging in the result of the candidate will be on the screen.

Note: If two candidates score the same marks then the candidate with less percentage of incorrect answers will be preferred. If the percentage of incorrect answers is also the same then the candidate with higher age is preferred over the candidate with a lower age.

Uttar Pradesh BArch Admission 2024: Counselling

The counselling for admission to BArch in Uttar Pradesh takes place after the declaration of the result of the NATA exam. The counselling process is carried on in several rounds by the conducting body. The candidates with qualifying scores are called for counselling based on the merit list released. The selected candidates have to register for counselling to get a seat. The candidates have to pay the counselling fee for counselling. The candidates who did not register will not be eligible to get any seat in the Uttar Pradesh BArch. the allotment of seats to the candidates is based on the merit list and the choice of the college by the candidate. The allotment of seats is done by the conducting board.

The reserved candidates are divided into two categories – the 'Vertical’ category and the ‘Horizontal’ category.

Ans – There is no negative marking for the wrongly attempted answers. The marks for the right answers are taken into consideration.

Ques. Which is better for studying architecture in India: SPA Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, or IIT Roorkee?

Ans. It is better to choose a college with an IIT tag because it will give you security regarding placements. IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee both have a good placement record, and their IIT tag makes them a better choice for Architecture students. The NIRF 2023 Ranking in Architecture of IIT Roorkee and IIT Kharagpur is 1st and 3rd respectively, whereas the ranking of SPA Delhi is 5th.  IITs offer a lot of facilities which aren’t offered by other top architecture colleges in India. They have extensive libraries, best sports facilities, clubs and societies, etc. If you like extracurriculars as much as studies, IIT Roorkee and IIT KGP will provide you with world-class facilities for the same.  Apart from design and architecture, you’ll be able to study a host of other subjects and varied electives at IIT R and IIT KGP. This will place you in a much better position academically.  Many new professors have joined the Architecture department at IIT Roorkee in the past few years. They are young and have a modern perspective which resonates with today’s youth. IIT Roorkee has the best and the biggest hostels compared to any other college, and everyone can avail a single room for the entire course duration. Ques. Which college should I choose for a B.Arch. under the NIT/SPA?

Ans. Firstly a hearty congratulations to you for scoring a good rank in JEE Main. However, it is quite difficult to get a seat at SPA Delhi in this rank. The 2nd best option can be SPA Bhopal. Moreover, SPA Vijayawada is relatively newer and cannot be trusted. I have friends studying at both Bhopal and Vijayawada, from what I've heard, Bhopal is a better option. SPAs are purely design institutes and thus the exposure would be greater.  Since your chances at SPA D are quite on edge, you can instead look for the following colleges in order of preference:  NIT Nagpur> NIT Bhopal> SPA Bhopal> NIT Jaipur> SPA Vijayawada and so on. If you want to go for NITs, choose the one with better infrastructure, weather, and a diverse crowd. Ans. There are two aspects to the question. You asked. Is the bachelor of architecture course at IIT Kharagpur good? To answer this part, I will say with certainty that IIT Kharagpur is an excellent institute. However, as far as architecture is concerned, your first choice should always be the elite schools of architecture like SPA or CEPT. This is mainly because IITs are known for their technology and not architecture. Should a person who's only interested in physics and math, go for architecture or not? If you are genuinely interested in physics and math, then this will be one of your strengths and will prove to be useful in the journey of architecture. Architecture requires problem-solving skills apart from artistic skills. There are many students who are average in drawing but have excellent ideas and designs. To broaden your knowledge about art and architecture you can read books.Read more

Ans.  you can pursue Bachelor in Architecture even after completing a diploma in Civil Engineering. The scope for Architecture is increasing day by day in India. The Bachelor in Architecture course is related to the design of bridges, multipurpose buildings, industrial areas, residential area etc. Owing to many ongoing dam and bridge projects in India, there is a huge demand for Architecture students. Since you have completed a Diploma in Civil Engineering, B.Tech in Architecture is the most logical option for you. The candidate who has completed a diploma in civil engineering is eligible for the architecture engineering course through the lateral entry scheme offered by the Engineering colleges in India. Under this scheme, you are eligible for admission for the second year in the Engineering course provided that you have either completed  Diploma In Engineering  B.Sc course For you it’s the former case, and thus you can avail the lateral entry scheme and get admission in Architecture. Ans. MANIT Bhopal is a good college for Architecture. But a college completely devoted to Architecture and Planning is a better choice. At such colleges, one has access to a strong alumni base. Apart from that, we get the right outlook for the field and a central library full of new architecture books. These colleges have digital labs with new architecture software. The crowd over there is completely devoted to the field of Architecture. These colleges organize dedicated seminars and guest lectures on Architecture and Planning. It is a huge boost to one’s self-esteem as an Architect in making. At NITs/state engineering colleges, our engineering friends receive placement one year ahead. But, one has an almost negligible chance of campus placement. SPA/CEPT won’t offer placements either, but this won’t be as demoralizing. Their strong alumni network allows us the chance to work in a firm through a senior’s recommendation. Thus, I would recommend you opt for SPA, CEPT, or other Architecture colleges for your B.Arch.Read more

Ans. You should opt for architecture only if your interest lies in this field. It shouldn’t be a backup option for you. This is because the field involves Arts, Science, Maths, and Humanities, all together. You’ll do well in this field only if you like architecture. As far as MNIT Jaipur is concerned, it isn’t the best place for architectural studies. They’ll offer you limited practical exposure, and the curriculum hasn’t been updated for long. The infrastructure of this department is pretty average, they don’t organize any educational trips, and only a few faculty members are good. I wouldn’t recommend MNIT for your B.Arch. Instead, try to look for some better alternatives.Read more
