B.Arch Distance Education is a 5 year degree program that deals with the different aspects of Architectural studies. This course is designed to produce licensed and professional architects who are authorized to do private constructions and government constructions.
Some of the colleges that provide B.Arch Distance Education are IGNOU and Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University.
Why Study B.Arch Distance Education?
B.Arch distance education is a planned education that takes place away from the source of the teacher. Students are taking Distance Education seriously because of a number of reasons. Some of the reasons to take B.Arch Distance Education is mentioned below:

- Enables the person to work and study at the same time.
- Students have a lot of options for colleges while studying B.Arch Distance Education
- It helps a person to keep himself updated with the subject without leaving his job.
The documents that are required for the admission process of B.Arch Distance Education are mentioned below:
- Marksheet of Class 12 Boards exam
- Certificate from the employer, for availing relaxation in minimum marks in the case of teachers, Govt.employees, University employees etc.
- Pass Certificate of Class 12 Board Exam
- Community, Nativity and Income certificates in original (in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OEC/OBC who are eligible for marks relaxation/fee concession)
- Self addressed stamped 3 envelopes.
- Self attested copy of the S.S.L.C/S.S.C page etc. showing the date of birth.
The eligibility criteria for B.Arch Distance Education differs from college to college. The common eligibility criteria that are followed are mentioned below:
- The student must pass the 10+2 Boards Examination with mathematics as a subject of study.
- Getting more than 50% ensures a good college education.
- B.Arch Distance Education does not have an age limit
- A student with a 10th + 3 years Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central/State Governments with 50% aggregate marks can also apply.
