BArch in Andhra Pradesh is conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). The APSCHE conducts the admission and counseling procedure for the course. BArch is offered by many colleges in Andhra Pradesh. There are several colleges offering admission on the basis of marks scored in NATA or JEE Main exams.
Students interested in pursuing a career in Architecture should have completed 10+2 with Mathematics as a compulsory subject. In order to qualify for admission into central, national, or state-level architectural colleges. National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), a national-level examination conducted by the Council of Architecture. Apart from NATA, candidates who have qualified for the JEE Main (Paper II) are also eligible for admission into BArch.
BArch is a 5-year undergraduate degree course. The course is designed for students interested in gaining technical and practical knowledge in the field of Architecture. In this course, students will be introduced to the art of planning, designing, and constructing buildings and other structures using appropriate techniques and principles.

Andhra Pradesh BArch Admission 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates seeking admission into the BArch. course offered in universities across Andhra Pradesh must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics from a recognized board or its equivalent with a minimum 50% marks. SC/ST candidates should have a minimum of 45% in aggregate.
- Selections will be based on the score obtained in either NATA or JEE Main (Paper II) qualifying examinations.

JEE Main Highlights
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) has mainly two Papers. Paper 1 is conducted for candidates aspiring to take admissions into the engineering courses while Paper 2 is for architecture (BArch/B.Plan). The syllabus of Paper II comprises General Aptitude and Mathematics questions.

Candidates applying for BArch. admissions in Andhra Pradesh will have to apply through APSCHE’s official website once the application Form is released.

Andhra Pradesh BArch Admission 2024: Counselling
In Andhra Pradesh, counseling, for allocation of seats for the BArch. course. across various institutes is conducted by APSCHE. The entire process can be categorized into two stages-
- Filling up of Choices- Candidates have to log in to the counseling portal and select their choice of architectural college in Andhra Pradesh. Once the selection is made, candidates have to lock their choices and save it within the allocated time.
- Seat Allotment Result- The results of the seat allotment process will be notified on the official website. Candidates will also find a link through which they can download their seat allotment letter. This letter has to be given at the allocated institute on the date and time mentioned in the letter. The candidate then has to confirm their admission at the allocated institute. In case the candidates fail to confirm their admission within the allocated period, then the seat allocated to the candidate will be confiscated by the authorities.

Andhra Pradesh BArch Admission 2024: Reservation
In Andhra Pradesh, in each institution, 15% of seats in the BArch course shall be reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), 6% for Schedule Tribes (ST), 29% for Other Backward Classes (OBC) and 3% for Physically Handicapped candidates. In addition to this, 33 1/3% seats shall be reserved for women candidates, 1% for National Cadet Corps (NCC), and 1/2 % for Sports and Games candidates.
