Assam BArch Admission is based on an entrance exam. Candidates can sit for any national-level entrance exam to seek Assam BArch Admission 2024. There are only two architecture colleges in Assam that offer the BArch course. Guwahati College of Architecture and Planning, and Royal Global University, Guwahati, are the two architecture colleges in Assam.

BArch is a 5-year long architecture course divided into 10 semesters. Assam BArch Admission is done on the basis of either NATA or JEE Main Paper II. The Royal Global University also conducts a personal interview to offer Assam BArch Admission 2024.

NTA conducts the JEE Main Paper II in two sessions to offer BArch Admission 2024. The JEE Main Paper 2 for Session 1 was conducted from January 24 to February 01. Registrations for JEE Main Session II examination will be held from April 1 - April 15, 2024. Furthermore, the COA conducts the NATA exam once every year. NATA will be conducted on April 06, 2024, to offer BArch Admission 2024 in top architecture colleges of India.

Assam BArch Admission 2024: Eligibility Criteria

Students that fulfill the following eligibility criteria can apply for admission to BArch program

  • Candidates must have passed in 10+2 or 10+3 Diploma with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

  • They must score at least 50% in PCM ( 45% for OBC/ST/SC/PwD) from a recognized Board/Council

Assam BArch Admission 2024: Selection Criteria

Admission to the course is done on the basis of performance in NATA/ JEE Paper II

  • Guwahati College gives 50% weightage to scores in 10+2 / Diploma and 50% weightage to scores in the entrance exam
  • Royal Global University considers scores in the entrance exam, followed by a Personal interview

Assam BArch Admission Process 2024 

  • The admission form can be downloaded from the official website 
  • The form must be filled out carefully and submitted to the college with photocopies of all required documents attached
  • The following documents are needed for the application
    • 10+2 Marksheet/Passing certificate
    • Scorecard of Entrance exam
    • Proof of address
    • Medical fitness certificate
    • 5 passport size photos
  • Income certificate (if needed)
  • Caste certificate (if needed)
  • The merit list will be announced 15 days after the last date of application
  • Successful candidates can report to the institution for verification of documents, fee payment, and admission process

Ques: How many seats are available for Assam BArch Admission?

Ans: Both Guwahati College of Architecture and Royal Global University have an annual intake of 40 students for BArch

Ques: Can applications be done offline for Assam BArch Admission?

Ans: Yes. Offline applications are a must at Guwahati College. Royal Global University offers a choice of online or offline application.

Ques: Is lateral entry available for Assam BArch Admission?

Ans: No, lateral entry is not offered for BArch under any circumstances

Ques: Do I need to give both phases of JEE Main to seek Assam BArch Admission?

Ans: No, the second attempt is in case a student cannot give the exam in Phase I or wishes to improve their score. One can apply for both attempts together, with a fee of INR 3800 together.

Ques: Is JEE paper 2 online or offline?

Ans: The mathematics and general aptitude section of JEE Paper 2 is online. The drawing skills section will be conducted offline.

Ques: Is there centralized counselling for BArch in Assam?

Ans: No, there is no such centralized admission process for BArch in Assam. Applicants must approach the university directly for admission.

Ques: What score is needed to qualify in NATA?

Ans: In order to qualify in NATA, 25% of total marks must be scored in both part A and part B. Only then can students get admission in BArch program.

Ques: How long is the NATA score valid?

Ans: NATA score is valid only for the concerned academic year.

Ans. No, there is no such campus placement. For the first students have to find firm which suits them and if at all you are unable to find then faculty will assist you to find one. Being finding firm at that suits is hard to get. Even Internship is also the same we have to do on our own. I am now doing my internship which gives me a stipend of 3000rs.Read more

Ans. 1.25 lakhs per sem. Total of 2.5 lakh per sem Back paper fee in around 3000 pee subject . We can apply for domicile for 20% off from the fee. I think they get mainly profit from back papers that they keep pooling down any under average students.Read more

Ans. I regret to choose this course and after some arogant faculty clash.... They showed my place by failing me in every subject they can....and main thing is they put notifications on Microsoft app not on Gmail etc handled my parents whenever I have to change my phone or etc. I miss every single back registration and miss some quiz due to that...they should put these imp. Mails to Gmail also not only outlook... Sometimes I think they just want to make out of below average student and suck there clg life and make void of them...Read more
