Canteen could be a bit bigger considering there are more than 70000 students in the whole University.
Hostel Facilities:
There are seperate hostel for girls and boys with maximum capacity of 3 inmates per room. The mess at each hostel is run by students , the student run mess is taking care by mess secreatary and mess committee formed for that particular month. Everyday non veg is available for one meal of the day. Hostel allotment is based on distance from home till hostel. There are plenty of PGs available outside University hostels as well .
Very pathetic for the beginners. Majority of the First year students are accomadated in a hostel where only 2 can stay in a room but a minimum of 4 stays in one room making it more conjusted and problematic to organise. Food is not so good for the first years hostel. still worth the fee you pay. as only a small amount of about 1000( or more) is charged. After first year. everything is ok
There are around more than 10 hostels including girls and boys hostels till now. Construction of new hostels are on progress to accomodate more students. Free wi-fi is available in all hostels. Hostel mess is manged by students it self. Weekly meetings will be there in hostels.
Hostel rooms are not the best. The rooms are shared with 2 or 3 people. We can invite a guest( must be a student ) to share the room if we want. Bathrooms are not attached. Rent is really low compared to others.
Govt hostels are only available for senior students.
Junior students should stay as paying guests and there are many rooms for cheap costs available nearby.
Govt hostels costs only 1000 for a month and have good food and accommodation
no restrictions.
But there is no hostel for boys.
They have to opt as paying guests
the govt hostel is under construction.
Hostel facilities are fine they are not very good, food is terrible but no need to worry since there are many good restaurants nearby. if hostel are not preferred there are a lot of PGs the rent in pgs range fromm 5000 per month to 10000
Availing hostel facility depends on the distance between the University and your hometown. Allotments are made on the basis of distance. Hostel rent is hardly 300 per month. Rooms are shared between 2 or 3 students. Mess facility is also present where the food is not so bad and is price effective.
Yes, i have opted for hostel. There are 6 ladies hostels and 5 boys hostel at our college. All hostels provide standardized infrastructure and facilities. With good food, water, electricity and wifi connectivity.
Yes I am a hostel inmate. Seperate hostel facility os provided for first year students. Hostel fee is very nominal i.e about 400 a month. The allotment procedure will be on the basis of distance. Mess facility also will be provided which is controlled by committee selected by students.
