- Mostly teachers are professor there and doctors they are really supportive i still remember dr taneja sir how friendly he's with students and the way he taught us was amazing teaching things with practical examples is amazing
- The crowd of dav college is really very great so the vibe of the college is really amazing
- You can also join for ncc and nss. and it can be beneficial during post graduate admissions.
Dislikes
- No placement no internship no guidance was provided by teachers
- In brutal summer there is need for air conditioners.
- Classrooms are too suffocating and it becomes worse in summers

Course Curriculum Overview:
The BCA curriculum at DAV College follows Panjab University’s syllabus, which was one of the reasons I chose this course, as it covers core computer science subjects along with practical lab work. It provides a good foundation in programming, databases, and networking, preparing students for both higher studies like MCA/MBA and entry-level IT jobs. However, the syllabus is slightly outdated and could be improved by adding more industry-relevant topics like cloud computing, AI/ML, and modern web frameworks. Exams are conducted every semester, with internal assessments and practicals in between. The difficulty level is moderate, and regular preparation makes them manageable.

- The colleges has provided me an eco friendly environment.
- One can study calmly in open air provided differents parks and playgrounds.
- Teachers shares a good bond with the students.

- Some of computers in labs are not working due to which some students has to wait for the practical work.
- In the starting , attendance are taken on pages after 2 weeks attendance are taken online in which offline attendance taken previously are not recorded in record.
- One thing with that i am so disappointed is water availability.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The BCA course provides subject list covers programming languages like C++ and java, Networking, Fundamentals of computer,Multimedia sytems,Data structures,web devlopment and others,which provides every aspect of machine learning/AI.

- College campus is properly maintained and different youth fest and competition held every month

- The size of college campus is very small
- Most classes are maintained very well but some are in very small size and low maintained
- Prices for the food in canteen is a little high for me

Well i am from maths background so i really into these technical and creativity things. that's why i choose the bca so that i can go in the field of technology. I am in first year right now so they are teaching from the basics and slowly leveling me up

Courses curriculum was good but some subject was really old but its from panjab University im not going to blame dav for this and mainly they taught every basis things but i think they need to add more latest technology subject in courses

- Campus life is pretty good and vast. The students are very welcoming
- Teachers are friendly and make you feel comfortable. They make sure you study and enjoy your college Life

- Infrastucture is pretty bad but it is acceptable comparing to other colleges.
Placement Experience:
5th and 6th semester students are eligible for placements. Various companies like infotech,haeir visit campus and interview students . Students are selected skill based and those who have passed all the exams with good percentage.

- Rose garden from DAV is about 2 minutes far.
- Is situated in Middle of Chandigarh, reachable from anywhere.
Dislikes
- Can improve in Infrastructure and can also provide latest computers for practicals.
- Some teachers are really bad at teaching and don't even know what to teach.
- Don't have regular sports activities neither good parking for students.
Course Curriculum Overview:
BCA in itself is not a very good course that will gurantee your placement in a good company with high package, Its relevance is high only beacuse its easy to complete and get the degree.
For good packages you have to do MCA or work harder on your skill to get a good job.
BCA helps in building base of your coding career, it offers a good grasp of C/CPP, Java and DataStructure.

- Teachers were good cooperative also. They know about their field.
- Ample of free time also. Syllabus was not vast.
- Fests were also happen frequently and we enjoy a lot.
Dislikes
- Sometimes classes not happen in college.
- Campus was not so big so one easily get bored.
- Some computers in the IT lab not work properly also there is network problem.
Placement Experience:
5 semester students becomes eligible for placement. Don't know about highest package but know about average package it's 2.5 lakhs. Generally there was a bulk hiring. Almost 50% students get placed. My plans after this degree is to get a job in IT sector.

- I liked the way of teaching of the faculty very much. there experience could be easily be seen from their way of teaching.
- The campaign and the initiatives taken by the students for the poor people are very appreciable.
- The environment and the infrastructure is also very good.
Dislikes
- The hostel facilities are very bad which includes the washrooms and the mess in particular.
- The process of any listening to a complaint is very time taking.
- The lack of strictness makes the student lack in discipline.
Placement Experience:
1) The students become eligible for the placements in the 3rd year.
2) The average package is 300000rs per annum and the highest package is 1100000 RS per annum.
3) The placement rate is 30% to 40%.
4) I will go for MBA after getting my bachelor degree.
5) Around 30 companies visited the campus.

I have chose BCA to become a software developer .
In BCA ,we learn c,c++language and Java which helps us alot
Also there is some IT subject as well which is best thing as it helps us in getting job in IT industry as well
Also the facilities members present in our college is very supportive and have great knowledge of the subject

Remarks:
The reason I have chosen DAVC for my BCA is its 11th Rank for Computer Applications by IndiaToday group in 2019. The college is a popular name under PU, Chandigarh and holds approval by UGC & accreditation from NAAC. Not just BCA but the institute offers a variety of courses across Science, Arts Commerce and Management. Admission to all UG courses at DAVC are based upon the Seat availability and Scores of applicants in previous academic years/standards.

DAV College Chandigarh has a huge campus. It includes a playground and 3-4 little gardens. The college is situated at the center of the city and everything is nearby. You can get all the basic amenities on campus as well. There are two canteens, two Nescafes, a juice center, a stationery shop, a print shop, a salon, and laundry.
The faculties are well-experienced. Some of the faculty members are quite friendly and cooperative. The college has a three-story library. It has a good collection of books.
DAV College has many clubs and societies like Literary society, Economic Society, NSS, etc. The college organizes events like Karvaan, and Star nights annually.
Election times are the worst. There are many fights and unnecessary chaos on campus. The college isn’t strict regarding its attendance rule and you can get away with not attending classes. Faculties sometimes don’t attend the classes and as a result, the students suffer. These are some of the disadvantages that you may have to face on campus.
