IIFPT Thanjavur offers three courses viz. a four-year duration B.Tech course in Food Processing Engineering, an M.Tech of two-year duration in two specializations, and a Ph.D. program of three-year duration. The college offers an online mode of the application process to the candidates through the official website of the college. Candidates who have passed the 10+2 examination in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with a minimum of 45% marks are considered eligible to join B.Tech Course. Admission to the B.Tech program is done on the basis of JEE Main score. The minimum eligibility for M.Tech admission is candidates must have completed BE or B. Tech in relevant discipline with at least 70% marks in aggregate. Those who hold an ME or M.Tech degree in any concerned discipline with a minimum of 70% marks are eligible to apply for admission to the Ph.D. program. Candidates are selected for admission to the M.Tech and Ph.D. courses on the basis of the applicant’s merit in the qualifying examination and marks obtained in the written test and interview round.
