About MITCFT
MIT College of Food Technology is an outcome of great and high visions of Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad. It was established in the year 2006 with an aim to bring India one step ahead in the sector of food processing in a way which is both qualitative and quantitative. The college is founded under MAEER (Maharashtra Academy of Engineering an Educational Research which is spreading education in a number of fields since last 29 years such as food technology, medicine, pharmacy, designing, engineering and lots more fields are covered by MAEER.

This college is very famous in Pune. I have heard it from many of my relatives too. The campus is very big and it indulges in alot many cultural activities like world food day, gatherings and more. Also, there are not many universities that provide the course of food technology. The faculty is supportive in every way and encourages students to participate in all programs. The admission process is similar to that of every other engineering college. Board marks, entrance exam marks are needed. I got admitted bypassing the college's entrance exam.
Course Curriculum Overview:
My course is very interesting and scientific and very important for any person life as peope cannot live without food. People think that if a person take bio in 12th then there is only one option that is medical but there are many more interesting courses. Food technology is one of the most interesting courses and when you have great teachers then, you are more than interested in any subject. Mit food tech have great faculty members. And they are more than qualified than any other college. Every teacher has ph.d in different course's and are very supportive and very very knowledgeable. There teaching method are just perfect with all the practicals. They always give more time in practical for teaching us in more good ways. Term exams are tough but if you are studying with all the notes provided by faculty and library books and practicals then it can be not that tough. And its not that difficult to pass if these tips student follow properly.

Pros and cons: MIT CFT became an autonomous body in the year 2016 after years of affiliation with Pune University for Bachelor's of Food Technology. Beautiful campus. Students will surely get a platform for efficient performance challenging their own selves for being a better one. Food technology faculties are well experienced teachers who nurture each sampling their best. Bringing the real picture, even with least availability of sophisticated equipment for research oriented studies one's given full support with the resources available. Eligibility: Minimum 50%in 12th CBSE or state board. MHCET/NEET/JEE Mains score based. There are different subjects thought in food technology which includes - food chemistry, food nutrition, food engineering, design layout and many more things. This is totally a new and a different subject and students won't find it hectic.

MIT is provides good education, Good facilities. And college providing scholarship and celebrates many events. College having libraries,sports ground, and labs for experiments and computers. Only the thing is about placements. There is no placement from college.
