For PG admission you may have to write a written test and based on your performance they will invite you for GD and PI. For GD, topics will be mostly those which you studied for your GATE exam. The basics of every unit operations etc. For PI, you have to be thorough with every important concept you studied in your undergraduation.
Written Test. Preparation same as gate. I Prepared for GATE agriculture engineering and ICAR exams the same syllabus was for the entrance examination.
Food Technology being a unique course and IIFPT being one the two colleges under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries is one of the main reasons to opt this college. The valuable infrastructure and the paperworks done in this Institute also makes it a better option to choose for any research study. The city where the college is located, Thanjavur is one of the tourist destinations of our country also adds up to opting out this Institute as a student who stays away from home.
I got admission in this college through Joint Entrance Examination on September 1st of year 2014. Moreover enormous career opportunities are available in this field which made to choose this course and also this is one of the best central institute exclusively made food engineering.
Admission is on the basis of common counseling conducted on the basis of the entrance exam.
Admission is on the basis of IIFPT Post Graduate Entrance Examination. A merit list is prepared on the basis of the entrance exam scores and overall academic performance of the student. I always wanted to join the institute for a bachelor’s, but opting for the Food Tech trade was a last minute decision.
