Life at nift kannur

Fees and Financial Aid:

For the first sem the fees was around 1.83 lakhs. For one year it will be around 3.2 lakhs i guess. They are few scholarships you can apply like Sartak. Sartak requires the annual income of your family. The college will provide more details about it after you join the college. I am not sure the scholarships before i didnt get any.

180000 approx is the amount for each semester. If you're applying for hostel then it is approx 60000 for the first year and then it varies according to your choice for the second third and fourth year ranging from 60000 to 100000. Mess fees are excluded.

There is security deposit you have to pay when you take admission in the college. Which is a12k or 15k. Which you ll be getting back after your convocation. And the fees is sem wise. Its is the same for a batch irrspective if the departments. And the fee increases by 10% (not really sure) every year. The fee is different for every sem. Approximately 1.5 lakh per sem or 3 lakh per year (approximately). This fee included all facilities provided by the college. That is developemnt fee, lab fee, library and everything. There is various scholarship that you can apply. That provides almost 100% of the fee if eligible. There is scholarships availble for all categories. But there is various conditions for it. Like attendence. Marks. Your family background. Their is national scholarships, state wise ones. You can basically apply for anything. But only get one scholarship. Some of it is sarthak, egrantz etc., The college gives medical allowance for students if they are injured within the campus.

About the tuition fees, it keeps increasing 10% every year. Right now in 2024 the fees is almost 3 lakhs. College provides 2 scholarship, sarthak and udaan. Sarthak is for students whose annual income is less than 8 lakhs. There are different categories and is divided into 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%. Udaan scholarship are for students who got into student exchange program

I like the vast curriculum here because if this we get to study not only design and fashion but it also includes modelling, gardening, dance zumba, shoots and many more.

Fees and Financial Aid:

Fee is relatively high if u compare to other national government colleges. It's around one lakh and thirty five or forty five pwr semester. Yes they do provide scholarship facility but that can only be availed by the students who's parents annual income is less than four lakhs. This course is definitely not affordable for people who are not rich enough.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For admission in NIFT we have to give two exam for undergraduate courses. we need to give CAT followed by GAT. The application process for NIFT entrance exam commence in october and exam are conducted in january or february each year. The candidate must be below 23 years age at the time of applying for the course. but SC, ST candidate are given relaxation of 5 years. NIFT fee is high.
