The difficulty level is actually what motivates you to work better in an competitive environment
The opportunities presented and expert lectures
A healthy social environment invites a good character development
Dislikes
The faculties are not very extensive in their methodologies of teaching
The infrastructure is still incomplete and could be way better
The size of the campus is extremely small for a design college
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course and subjects included are actually quite comprehensive. Right from the foundation program where they teach you material handling of common materials and drawing till the end year where it is constrained to your department. The course contains a lot of topics covered which enhance your skills.
The people and culture is very nice, they appreciate cultural events same as
There are different clubs which are constantly active
The equipment’s and infrastructure they provide is very helpful
Dislikes
The campus of Banglore is very small compared to other campuses
mess food is very bland but at the same time it’s costly
Some teachers teaching method is not very helpful
Course Curriculum Overview:
They don't have written assignments, we only have assignments and jury, and there is practical study more than theory, it prepares you really well for the real world and actually teaches you how hard it is to be a designer we have assignments every week which has marks and 1 jury every semester
Let’s us students explore more than just designing garments, we may explore photography, filmmaking, painting and so many, there are many possibilities.
Dislikes
The food in the mess is bad. And NIFT Bangalore doesn’t provide hostels for boys.
Placement Experience:
Placements are also good. Lots of industry companies visit the college. Like titan, Flipkart, Myntra. Etc
You also get a lot of exposure while you're in the college, just don't be an introvert. Try to communicate and
College will make sure when you graduate, you'll be a extremely different and confident person and gives you basic understanding of fashion Industry
Teacher will be harsh on you and scold you but in the end because of these scolding you'll improve a lot within.
College will eventually make you individually independent of you move to different state and you'll learn how to manage everything alone without your parents need.
Dislikes
Faculty are partial and forget about every student is different. So they might be rude or less interested sometimes, these makes students to avoid questions and will end up with unclear class sessions.
I feel more outbound ( educational tour ) would've been better since seeing the physical things and experience effects lot rather than theories.
A wrong friendship and wrong advice can change or impact your life in a bad way , choosing good friends is important too for your own upbringing.
Placement Experience:
So the average placement offers offered is 6LPA and and highest is 12LPA in Bangalore and 85% placement rate and more details about placement and companies that come include puma , nike , adidas , Reebok, and more for sports wear and I don't know much about lingerie placements but I'll get to know soon .
Mentors are very supportive u can share everything they will help u with ur studies
Expert lectures are very interesting they teach every small things
Dislikes
Placements are not that good so better search yourself for the placement
Placement Experience:
From 3rd yr they provide internship opportunities 85 % of students are getting placements... many companies visits like Titan and average package would be something 1800000 I m not sure about it... I wanna do a job and then will continue my business which is already running by my mother
The course structures are well integrated to make sure the students learn every aspect of the fields they choose.
The labs and machines in the college help the students learn better and apply their skills in real life
The teachers are very approachable and encourage students to interact.
Dislikes
The classes sometimes are arranged back to back which can be very hectic.
The courses should integrate real life industry skills so that the students above a more holistic learning.
The submission dates and work can also get very heavy. This can take a toll on the students sometimes.
Placement Experience:
The placements of the college are very good. Since the placements happen mostly at the top 3 colleges, all students get an equal opportunity to sit and get the jobs they aspire to. The placements happen during/after the 8th semester.
The college allows you to express yourself in many ways, they seek out the creativeness in you and push you towards exploring even more.
The teachers guide you with all care and put extra limelight on you when required. They guide you through your creative block and help you understand your extremes. The college itself welcomes you and all your future self
Dislikes
The college can be a little unorganised. Students may not know of a lot of important things till the very end of it’s schedule.
The timings of the classes are really hectic, you have to study one subject for about 3 hours and you loose your attention for it by the end. Teachers tho push your limit in a good way sometimes it goes out of reach
Placement Experience:
I don't know much about college placement but for fashion technology average is around 4-5 lakh but if you get a pre-placement offer from an internship company your salary will vary according to that company. Around 90% of students are placed either from college or PPO. They also offer guidance regarding after graduation. They also have a master's program in case you want to pursue that.
I really liked the way the course was structered. In the foundation year we had a little bit of everything to vasten our knowledge and skills.
The teachers are approachable and supportive. The interiors of the college provide a really good atmosphere for a design student.
Dislikes
The campus is a little too small. I wish it was a little bigger for us to enjoy a better campus life.
The mess food could definitely be improved. The quality is not up to the par.
Sometimes the classes get very very hectic. We are bombarded with a lot of assignments at the same time hardly giving us the time to focus
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for placements after their graduation project in the 8th semester which is the 4th year. A good number of companies around 8-10 come for the campus placements. The minimum package starts from 6 lakhs and can go up to 20 lakhs per annum. Almost 70% of the students get an on campus placement. Some get an off campus placement as well. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue masters in my field.
There is some issue in placement, though we get placement the scope for the future through these placements are not that great. Many students fail to get proper placements. The scope or plan for many students is to try and open a new brand or collaborate with other students to create a new brand.
Students become eligible for the placements from the 7th semester. There is a list of good companies that come for placement in NIFT. The average salary package is somewhat around 6 lakhs per annum. NIFT provide 100% placements to their students.
