Different Teaching approach than other colleges
Let’s us students explore more than just designing garments, we may explore photography, filmmaking, painting and so many, there are many possibilities.

The food in the mess is bad. And NIFT Bangalore doesn’t provide hostels for boys.

I chose this course because I wanted to try something different other than engineering and all those. The curriculum is just perfect for the real world. And the assignments submission times can be hectic but it's a good experience.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee per semester is approximately 1.5 Lakhs to 1.8 Lakhs depending on semester. And it keeps increasing every sem. There are also scholarships available for people who have yearly income below 5 Lakhs.

Campus Life

Campus also brings in lots of opportunities. Like there is GEO AND GEM, and also sometimes brands like Red Bull, Reebok and Westside, royal enfield come to campus for organizing activities. Those are really fun. And also sports events too.

Admission

NIFT is a reputed design college, and comes in the top 10 design college in the world. The admission process is also a easy. They have 2 exams for Bdes. One written and one studio test. Then if you pass you can choose your campus depending upon your rank.

Faculty

Faculties here are industry experts, they are experienced and know what they are doing. In every semester there is a Mid Term Assignment Submission and End term ( Jury) . The jury could be a new experience for new students but overall it's a new experience for students, it's not a written exam tho, it's like an interview, we Present our work to the jury members, and they criticize it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

We have really packed timings. We also have a lot of chances. Like an exchange program, internships and many chances to act or work in actual projects. I really hope they could teach us animation in the course and it would really help if the clubs are active. For every exam we have to come up with something new totally out of the box. sometimes we also have to work overtime.

The curriculum they are provided is entirely different from they are actually teaching. The teaching methods are not upto level and not updated this it's hard for a student to keep up. The exams are conducted in between 2 months and only 1 practical exam will be conducted.

Ab overview of life at NIFT Bangalore

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements after their graduation project in the 8th semester which is the 4th year. A good number of companies around 8-10 come for the campus placements. The minimum package starts from 6 lakhs and can go up to 20 lakhs per annum. Almost 70% of the students get an on campus placement. Some get an off campus placement as well. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue masters in my field.

All subject professors are well qualified and experienced faculty and very friendly approach and guide us till we complete our course with good knowledge and give us best guidance for career in future and exams are conducted on mentioned time with very strict rules. It was little difficult but the teaching method helped to go through exams and get gud marks. Negative is only the extra charged v have to spend for projects and other rather than our yearly fee. Ab overview of life at NIFT Bangalore

You become eligible after giving your 12th exams after which you can find the application form on the official website of NIFT when the new admission year begins. The application fees was 2000 rupees. The forms come out around December. I scored 140 rank under OBC category and 700 under the open category. There are reservation benefits for those who qualify under the categories of OBC, GEN-EWS, SC/ST. The exams take place sometime in February. I've applied for, JEE, Delhi university, and BHU (Banaras Hindu University) as well. I joined NIFT because I got my desired centre in NIFT. I availed of the OBC quota for admission.
