Manipal School of Architecture and Planning is a constituent of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education since its commencement in 1978 and was officially recognised as the 22nd institute of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal, India. MSAP provides admissions to its courses on the basis of merit or entrance exams. For B.Arch courses, candidates must have qualified NATA with minimum eligible scores. For M.Des in Sustainable Design, preference is given to GATE qualified candidates.
How to apply?
Students who wish to apply to MSAP may follow the steps given below for the admission process:
- Interested applicants can find the application form on the official website of the institute in the ‘Apply Now’ section.
- Applicants are required to register themselves using a unique Email ID and phone number and apply for the interested program.
- After registration and verification, applicants need to complete the application form with required academic and personal details.
- Upload the required documents such as transcripts, photograph, digital signature, SOP, POW and other documents in the prescribed format.
- Submit the form by paying the application fees of INR 600.

MSAP offers numerous scholarships and financial aids for the students based on their merit, academic performance, financial background and various other parameters. Some of them are:
- Scholar and Achiever Scholarship for UG and PG Programmes: It is offered to UG students having 80% aggregate in their 10+2 level and to PG students having 70% aggregate in their undergraduate qualifying examination. Scholar scholarships are available for the entire program duration. Achiever scholarships are available for all the academic years except the first year and is based on the preceding year’s performance. Both the scholarships provide a 20% waiver on the course fee.
- Board Toppers Scholarships for UG programs: Top 3 students in their respective 10+2 boards are applicable for a 75% waiver on the course fee.
- SAGES Scholarship: It is applicable to students who have completed their 10+2 or graduation from any of the listed Academy of General Education (AGE) or Dr. TMA Pai Foundation institutions with at least 70% aggregate. Applicants under this category are eligible for 75% waiver on the course fee.
- Scholarship for Konkani Speaking Students: UG and PG students having Konkani as their mother tongue are eligible for 10% waiver on the course fee.
- Merit Scholarship for Children of MAHE Manipal Alumni
- 10% waiver on course fee are offered to children of MAHE Manipal Alumni who have 80% aggregate in their 10+2 levels for UG courses and 70% aggregate in their graduation for PG courses.
- Students are also eligible for education loans under Vidya Turant Scheme.

Ques. What are the average fees for the Architecture courses offered by MSAP, Manipal?
Ans. The average fee for the Architecture courses is as follows:
- For B.Arch, the average course fee is INR 19,45,000
- For M.Arch, he average course fee is INR 3,36,000
However, students can also avail many scholarships provided by the institute. Financial aids and tuition fee waivers are also provided to the students based on their eligibility and other parameters.
Ques. Are there any internships offered by Manipal School of Architecture and Planning during the coursework?
Ans. All courses offered by the Manipal School of Architecture and Planning include compulsory internships for its students during the course duration. Students enrolled in Design courses have to complete a compulsory internship in their final semester. Students enrolled in B. Arch have to complete one year compulsory internship during their coursework.

I applied to other colleges in kerala. Cat,trivandrum and avani,calicut. Both were much more amazing than MSAP comparing the infrastructure,college aesthetics,architecture vibes and as a malayali,maybe the right spot. But not widely ranged,connected nor the placements matched up to my likes. We have to meet the NATA criteria and have good marks in board. Nothing much

- The campus life in manipal is one of the best in the country
- All amenities are available on campus, whether it's for shopping, gym, swimming pool, library etc.
Dislikes
- My college in particular has a lack of air conditioning which is a real problem in the heat of manipal.
- MSAP is quite distant and separate from the rest of campus making transport time quite a problem.
Admission:
For MSAP and interior design course they check your uceed scores and based on that mark you eligible or not to appear for their own entrance exams and interviews. The process is quite straightforward and simple as compared to other colleges.

- The campus is newly built and has a unique architectural quality
- The classrooms have colorful furniture and corkboards which are easier for presentaion of hardcopy portfolios

- Transportation within campus is difficult as the college is now located further from the hostel facilities
- Food availability within campus is scarce as it is new and will take time to set up

The application form and fee structure is available on the university site. The admission process was flawless as the entrance exam was conducted online and we were then contacted via phone once we were selected. The application required us to have basic sketching skills and understanding. A statement of purpose is also required.

Admission:
To be eligible for this course you have to clear the NATA Exam. Application forms, application fees, and application fees can be checked on the official site of Msap. There should be an improvement in the admission process for now students have to just pass the NATA exam but there should be a particular cut-off, like government colleges do. Students have to at least score 50 percent marks to get into college. application form, fees, and dates can be seen on the official site of the college.

The admission process was pretty simple, just had to submit board marks and Nata Result. I had to pay a fee of 2000 for filling out the form. Eligibility is to have 50% marks in Physics Chemistry and Maths in the 12th boards exam and the form and dates can be found on MSAP's website.

This is a very good College in terms of education and co-curricular activities. The events hosted in the College and the workshops are almost always paid so it is hard if you don't have pocket money with you always.

Stipend is enough to manage for the month buying own equipments and other expenses . Internship Is provided in college for undergraduate students and can be a learning experience if students are interested in doing so.

Lateral means admission into the second year. Aspirants seeking admission to the Program should have passed with a 3-year Diploma in Fashion Design from a recognized Central or State government Board, with minimum 50 % aggregate marks or equivalent.
MSAP College accepts the valid scores of NATA and GATE examinations for admissions to its courses.
The total fee of the MSAP Bachelor of Architecture is INR 19.45 lacs. The first year fee is INR 3.97 lacs. The second, third, fourth and fifth year fees are the same INR 3.87 lacs.
