What are the average fees for the Architecture courses offered by MSAP, Manipal?

The average fee for the Architecture courses is as follows:For B.Arch, the average course fee is INR 19,45,000For M.Arch, he average course fee is INR 3,36,000However, students can also avail many scholarships provided by the institute. Financial aids and tuition fee waivers are also provided to the students based on their eligibility and other parameters.

Are there any internships offered by Manipal School of Architecture and Planning during the coursework?

All courses offered by the Manipal School of Architecture and Planning include compulsory internships for its students during the course duration. Students enrolled in Design courses have to complete a compulsory internship in their final semester. Students enrolled in B. Arch have to complete one year compulsory internship during their coursework.

When are the application forms released for admission to MSAP, Manipal? What are documents required during the time of an application?

The application forms are generally released in the month of June/ July and classes commence from the month of August/ September. Candidates are required to present a list of necessary documents which include government issued identity card (Aadhar/Passport/PAN card), necessary mark sheets (10+2, graduation results), Portfolio of work, statement of purpose and passport size photographs.

9-5 classes and labs are provided in college premises and exam schedules are morning and afternoon both like batchwise it's scheduled for different sections as well and internals are for 2hrs and end semesters are for 3 hours and even notes are provided during lecturesas ppts and on a software called as teams

Pretty decent college

Likes

Campus life is excellent, especially as you get to interact with students from other institutions within the MAHE university.
Course curriculum is regularly updated and very relevant

Dislikes

There is a lot of favouritism among the faculty. They have 2-3 students in the class that they give all their attention to and the rest have to fend for themselves.
Infrastructure is not up to the mark. Could be better for the fees we are paying

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is updated every few years and is very relevant especially when it comes to the new softwares or methods used in the industry. The jury-based evaluation system is very helpful in teaching us how to explain our projects, defend our concepts when they are questioned and it also learn to take constructive criticism. The assignments and exams are planned in a through and systematic manner which makes it easier to handle the submissions in a more orderly way.

Likes

The climate,the foyers and environment.The college is situated in a very good place inside the campus,secluded and peaceful.
The professors are very good at their job and to the students.A very fun learning environment.

Dislikes

The case studies are not encouraging as an architect student.small trips 25minutez away in a bus etc
College is tough and hard.it’s your breaking point as a teenage entering into a life away from parents.
Home sickness missing homes and all my siblings.I very much hate this feeling

Placement Experience:

The median package offered during ug-5years stood at 8.93 LPA Top companies offered are ATKINS,total environment,aditya birla fashion and retail,space monkey media,stapati,space matrix,alex jacob architect etc: Around 72% students get placements. After my UG I'm thinking of going for few experience round and then do my M Arch from Turkey.

Manipal and MAHE in a nutshell.

Likes

The campus life in manipal is one of the best in the country
All amenities are available on campus, whether it's for shopping, gym, swimming pool, library etc.
Even though we have a massive campus moving around is made much easier with the college provided buggy system

Dislikes

My college in particular has a lack of air conditioning which is a real problem in the heat of manipal.
MSAP is quite distant and separate from the rest of campus making transport time quite a problem.
The food available in the canteens on campus are not that great.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Interior design offered quite a few academic aspects which can also be applied in other courses. The curriculum is quite tough as compared to other courses but it being so helps in the real world where the work we have to put in ks quite alot.

The campus is newly built and has a unique architectural quality
The classrooms have colorful furniture and corkboards which are easier for presentaion of hardcopy portfolios
The variety of clubs which are available and the social life within college

Dislikes

Transportation within campus is difficult as the college is now located further from the hostel facilities
Food availability within campus is scarce as it is new and will take time to set up
The work life balance because of projects and deadlines is hectic

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course as it is an upcoming career option. The faculty has experience in the professional field and have had several years if experience prior to joining. The faculty:student ratio is 1:10 and most of the studio classes consist of at least 4 faculty for a class of 40. The design exams at the end of the every even term were long and tiring whereas the sessionals were usually wrapped up within a week.

very stressed schedule of assignments...

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from the 7th semester onwards. The average placement package is 3.9 LPA. Almost 70% of students get places directly from the college. talking about my personal plan after getting the degree ill be going abroad for pursuing March.

End terms exams can be difficult as minimal gaps are provided so it's advisable to have some preparation from before the exams too instead of preparing just during the gaps. The college tends to finish exams quickly so as to have more classes
