For studio subjects there hour hourly exam which ranged from 1-3 days and internals happen twice each of 15 marks otherwise faculties are supportive and very helpful beyond class hours as well and overall it's fun during events in the college
There is a lot of favouritism among the faculty. They have 2-3 students in the class that they give all their attention to and the rest have to fend for themselves.
Faculty:
There is a shortage of faculty in our department with some faculty taking subjects that they are not very experienced in. They are generally quite approachable and understanding and are mostly considerate when it comes to any problems faced by the students. There is also a lot of favouritism and partiality from some faculty where in they will do the work of their favourite students and give them excellent grades and there has been no action taken against this by the HOD or director despite multiple complaints. The exam structure consists of 2 sessional exams of 15 marks each and 1 final exam of 50 marks. The exams are held only for theory subjects and they are generally pretty easy to pass if you prepare well.
The professors are very good at their job and to the students.A very fun learning environment.
Faculty:
The faculties are very open and approachable, a need as an architecture student.
Very inspiring too.
Theory subjects are a little to catch up so each sem according to the faculties, there were struggles.
2sessionals and a main exam along with one design exam.
If I'm briefing about it,every odd sem we have viva and jury for the end sem in design exam and every even sem we have a drawn test and jury.
5% of the students fail and pass with the makeup.
It's quite a mixed bag, as some of our faculty are quite young while some are much older and have been at our college for much longer.
The faculty to student ratio is quite good as my batch on a whole is 26 students.
And the faculty are quite approachable before and after college hours.
The faculty is highly qualified but lacks proper teaching skills. Some of the faculty lack any motivation in teaching and seem like they are here only for the money. If we go to them personally with doubts they have enough knowledge to teach us.
The faculty is a mix of experienced and unexperienced faculty. While some faculty is extremely experienced and experts in their fields, other batch of faculty is just Masters students who are pursuing their masters from the same college and are given the task of teaching in their spare time. That is disappointing as they are not efficient in clearing doubts and giving enough inputs. For theoretical subjects, they just keep reading slides thats all. There are no aged teachers, they are mostly young or middle aged.
Faculty of architecture are very skilled and are also very nice to a student, all the faculty have more than 10 years of practical experience and they keep supporting the student by encouraging them to focus on the quality of design rather than quantity of work finished
