College is really well organised that way, director keeps on trying to motivate students as like there is a games room, fussball table, bean bags, plantation, wall painting competition with good amount for the winners.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have opted for Knitwear Designing, this course is given me so much of knowledge about our fashion history and evolution. The curriculum was so groomed they had all the softwares you might need in the course all the practical classes and freedom od designing. Alot of Industrial visits as well as internship in this course.
Placement Experience
There are 2 internship offerings as a part of the curriculum in nift. One is of 2months and the other for 4. For which the college collaborates with different companies to hire and placement is happened in the college premises. They make sure everyone gets an opportunity to work in the industry.
College Events
Cultural, Spectrum, diwali, sports weeks, morning assembly there are these famous function that our college holds. Cultural and spectrum are a very large scale functions as many companies sponsors are needed and it contains multiple events as it goes on for like 2-3 days.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible, NEFT, DD, CASH,IMPS all these are accepted as the mode of payment. The fees varies for each semester but it's always above one 1 Lakh for one semester. Late charges are applicable as per days. There is a fare breakdown in the receipt. There are no additional fee as such.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, I haven't opted for any loan or scholarship for my studies. Scholarship is given to the students who score atleast above 8.5 CGPA
Campus Life
nift is a very open and free minded institute it has diverse genders all of them are treated equally. Hostel is really strict so no loud speakers or drinks or party is allowed as such there is a time deadline for everyone. There are alot of societies made in the college which helps organise the events.
Hostel Facilities
Yes first year students are mandatory to stay at the hostel. The hostel is only for girls and it's located inside the premises. The room is 3 sharing sometimes 4. There is attendance every night. If the hostel is full there are nearby pgs which takes like 7-10 thousand per bed approx. The quality is just fine there very less space in the room there is wifi and watercoolers at ever floor.
Alumni/Alumna
Very helpful, some seniors are not very helpful or intrested but some are really sweet and they also help in understanding the environment and assignment pressure.
Admission
Creative Ability Test (CAT), General Ability Test (GAT) and situation test. These are the three stages which concludes the entrance exam. This includes an logical reasoning, math and English test called GAT, CAT is where you will be given some crafts like paper and tools you have to create something out of it.
Faculty
There are 6-7 lecturers with alot of Industrial knowledge. One of them has completed her Phd. All the lecturers were once a student of Nift they have been working in the industry for more than 5 years. Well knowledgeable and professional lecturers have been recruited for the nift.
