Campus is big and not over crowded, the environment is relatively good with good teachers

Dislikes

Very unstructured in terms of teaching, and the course keeps getting better for new students and not existing ones.

Faculty:

The ratio of the faculty to students is around 1:30, faculties are very approachable. Best faculties are the ones who you can connect with and show them that you can work. There are 2 exams every year with multiple assignments for every sub course, exams are subjectively graded based on different criteria, not like conventional memory based exams.

some of the teaching faculty are brilliant and very knowledgeable. Great to speak to and learn from.

faculty to student ratio is usually 1:25. most faculty are very approachable, especially as they speak to students casually and the students are required to refer to the faculty by their first names. faculty have great work and are very good at what they do. There are no exams per say, we have what is called a performance of understanding. we are given a large assignment and a week and a half to finish it within college hours. after the assignment is submitted, we have a jury with two or three faculty, during which they try to understand our work and our thought process better.

Education at peak in Srishti Manipal

Each and every faculty is very appreciative and supporting towards the students. They always help students. We don't call our faculties sir or mam. We call them by their name because we should get friendly with them. We only have 2 exams in a year. In Srishti there are no written exams. We get graded on our projects, practicals and VIVA that are taken at the end of the semester.

Promotes self learning and individual growth by not spoon-feeding.

I am in a class with 4 other students and that gives me the benefit of having a very close and focused interaction with the faculty. We are free to contact them whenever with any kind of issues as most of us have their phone numbers. We also maintain a very informal relationship with every faculty member and very friendly environment. Their work precedes them so we are confident in their skills to teach us their craft.

one of the best design college in India

The College faculty is amazing. they are really skilled and learned people from the design field. Their knowledge in design is extraordinary. They are also very friendly people from the director of the college to the faculty we called them all by their names since they believed in being our facilitators and not professors. The lectures and their expertise does help alot in the long run for you to be a good professional

The teachers are helpful and supportive. Practical exposure about the industry and how the planning of the layout, furnishing, color schemes, decorations of the establishments needs to be done so that it fulfill the needs of their customers. We are taught about techniques such as how to the work in a given budget and the ability to manage and at the same time work as a team . Overall the teachers of our department always motivates us in learning more about interior designing so that we can we good interior designers in future.
