- The candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized board.
- Candidates between the ages of 18 and 25 are eligible to apply for UG courses.

- SMEAT is a set of procedures and processes to evaluate an applicant's readiness, capability and aptitude. SMEAT 2024_UG will comprise of the following:
- Test 1 (T1)
- This is a General Test of Ability.
- Applicants who have taken the UCEED examination can choose to be exempt from this test if their All India Rank is 600 or below.
- Applicants who have taken the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) between March and June and whose composite score is 1100 or above can choose to be exempt from this test.
- Test 2 (T2)

- Test 2 (Presentation of Evidence of Competency (EoC) and Interview) – Candidates are required to present relevant evidence of competency at the time of the interview.
