All about francis

Likes

Infrastructure and lecturers and also the marking system
They make us to be open and more positive thinking
They help is in being socially interactive

Dislikes

It would be the lack of canteen or the constant change
Lack of bsc Student not knowing what is happening in the college
Partiality towards christian students is seen

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interactive sessions which are held for letting the Student speak makes me admire the administration a lot, The way to sum up the marks where not only the written part but the social skills are tested is very good and helpful

A review of st Francis from a students perspective

Likes

Opengate system. This gives students flexibility in managing their time.
Prompt exam conduction. The examination dates are decided at the beginning of the year and they take place without delays.
Affordable tuition. The tuition fees are reasonable and the facilities provided are also decent.

Dislikes

No transport facility. The college does not provide any transport facility, forcing students to arrange for own transport
No hostel facility. Due to this, students are forced to find hostels out of college which becomes pricy
Poor communication and management. Any announcement regarding events or announcements are delayed

From thirst semester students become eligible for campus placements. Prominent organizations such as Deloitte, Amazon, Wipro, Cognizant, IBM, KPMG, and Microsoft have participated in the campus recruitment process. St Francis also offers a career guidance cell. 1 in 5 students secure placement through college.

A Balanced Learning Journey

Likes

Faculty are so kind and supportive towards students
Love the nature of the college( trees,bottle garden..etc),
And what not, the events.They celebrate a lot of events

Dislikes

They collect a lot of money from students for events and all those and all so charge fines for late payments
Canteen prices are so high which is not worth
Attendance is the biggest dislike where the student should have 80% attendance in each subject

The curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course is due to its balance between theory ,practical sessions They implenet real time working models to explain the topic They need improve more in physical activities The time for one exam to another exam is good

The faculty was very friendly and very highly professional
The campus is really comfortable and has good amenities
The overall college is the best place to grow and study well

Dislikes

There is nothing which i didnt like there
There is nothing that i didn’t like there

Placement Experience:

From 2/3rd year students are eligible for placements, a lot of well known companies like IBM, Google, Goldman Sachs, Deloitte etc visit the college providing with a lot of good placements opportunities

Franics experience

Likes

I like college infrastructure and lab facilities and faculty with better knowledge

Dislikes

They literally torture for attendence.Need to maintain 80% and should pay condonation for attendencr if you have above 70

Course Curriculum Overview:

Odd sems are kinda better will have time for enough preparation and even sems have less time just for 3months. And papers are good enough and will gain better knowledge. College curriculum and teaching methods are too good.

St francis- A happening place!!

Building, education quality, rules, canteen

Dislikes

Umm some rules were strict, like wearing knee length kurtis everyday,
We had classes everyday even during covid nd exams too online
Attendance is very strict we have to maintai atleast 80%, if btwn 75-80 pay condonation if more below no exam

My course curriculum was good, detailed, it covered almost all different branches of the field biotechnology.. i had chem, zoo amd biotechnology.. but other than that in my final year i had an opputunity of choosing another subject as an additional so got to learn about nutrition..

The campus is very huge, provides facilities for many uses
The faculty of this college is reliable and supportive
The environment is very green. Full of trees and greens

Dislikes

There’s nothing specifically that i dont like
Its very competitive, making it hard for students to achive their goal
I dont think i have anything else to say bad about the college, it is very good in fact

St.Francis college for women , student review

Likes

Lectures are highly qualified and their teaching style is very easy to understand. They're very much approachable whenever we, the students had any doubts. Besides studies lecturers are very friendly with us mainly the class mentors.
College timings and Extra curricular activities are quiet good, we can be a part of various clubs and participate in the activities that were held by the clubs.
Placements options are good. Since I was graduated during the covid time, very less companies came to hire at the starting but our placement cell faculty was very supportive in reaching out to the companies.

Dislikes

There's nothing much to dislike about the college, one can have a wonderful college life by studying there.

Placement Experience:

Once you start studying the final year you will be eligible for the placements. Many companies including the big four in the finance sector has also approached the college to hire candidate. You will have to check with the college on other details.

The life of BMS students

Likes

Code of conduct of St.Francis College is very strict
The college provides a good amount of exposure to all the students
The lecturers are very supportive and have higher experience and qualifications

Dislikes

80% madatory attendance in ever subject is something that is not convenient for everyone
The dress code is kurti which should be below the knee and have half sleeve even if it a all girls college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course that i am persuing is BMS (Batchelors in Management Studies). In this course we are taught subjects related to Finance, Marketing and Human Resource(HR). We get good opportunities to showcase our skills and learn more. The only thing that i don't find good is that though BMS is one of the best course of our college infact in the state with a good fee but during the placements there is no special provisions for us.

Good staff and good space but there is not much importance given to extra curricular actuvities

Dislikes

Very hyped and the canteen food is not at all good

The course curriculum is good but its too much based on textbooks and readers and we just have presentations as a part of practical teaching experience. BMS is only known for presentations. The course is over hyped compared to the curriculum
