A review of st Francis from a students perspective

Mandatory research, internship opportunities, and practical exposure are the reasons I chose this course. The curriculum prepares us for the real world as we regularly have guest lectures and hands-on experience. Detailed information on topics in the course, as the course is very brief and just gives an overview. The exams are conducted promptly, and the difficulty level is moderate. Most students perform well as we are well prepared for the exams.

The college has a career guidance and placement cell that provides campus placements. Companies like Deloitte, Amazon, Wipro, Cognizant, IBM, KPMG, and Microsoft have taken part in the campus placements, and 1in 5 students successfully get campus placements.

From thirst semester students become eligible for campus placements. Prominent organizations such as Deloitte, Amazon, Wipro, Cognizant, IBM, KPMG, and Microsoft have participated in the campus recruitment process. St Francis also offers a career guidance cell. 1 in 5 students secure placement through college.

Registration fee-200 I'd card fee 150, year 1- 56000, year 2- installment 1-32200, installment 2- 22600, year 3- installment 1- 32200, installment 2- 22600. Development fee, lab fees, and other fees are included in the yearly fees. No compulsory fees for management, sc, or ST. No scholarships are provided.

Yuvaflare is the biggest event of the college, and it takes place every November. Throughout the year, festivals keep taking place. Each department has its fest every month. The college also has a library with an impressive collection of books, journals, articles, newspapers, and much more. Each classroom has a projector and a computer that the lecturers use in their lectures. The college encourages the students to take part in sports such as basketball, volleyball, khokho, kabaddi, athletics, track and field, handball, etc. It is also mandatory for the students to be a part of any of the college wings such as ncc, nss, redcross, krida, prakruti etc.

I was considering Loyola College Secunderabad. However, due to its bad reputation, I chose St Francis. At Francis has a fairly easy admission process. Applicants must fill out the admission form provided on the college website and provide a scanned copy of the required documents. Once confirmed, an email will be received, after which applicants should pay the tuition fees. No examination is required for admission. However, a minimum of 75 percent is required in your intermediate.

1:40 is the faculty-to-student ratio. The faculty is very approachable and easy to communicate with. The best faculty are the political science lecturers and psychology lecturers as they give detailed, clear, and crisp explanations. So far, no problem with none of the lectures as they all are very approachable. Throughout the semester, we have 3 exams, one skill test, internal exams, and semester-end exams. Most of the students clear the exams with decent performance, and the course curriculum is very apt.

There was no interview or a test for admission as it was purely merit-based. Further, the admission process was fairly easy; however, a minimum percentage of 75 is required. 90 percent is preferred, though.

There is no hostel facility in college, hence students get to go home after classes end. However, the college does have a cafeteria with great hygiene and amazing-tasting food, an impressive gym, and lots of places to hang out under trees.
