Remarks

It's like every college. Positive is our college focuses on extra curricular activities and Negative is it doesn't focus much on study but on money. It has its own positives and negatives and I see more negatives than positives

Course Curriculum Overview

2

BA MASSCOM by Osmania University mainly comprises MASSCOM& Journalism as a main subject. We have 3 subjects. They are Masscom & Journalism, Psychology and Modern language (i.e.English literature) and 2 languages. This graduation course has a time period of three years with 6 semesters i.e 2 semesters per year

Placement Experience

1

I don't know about the placements. But I have listened that some of my seniors have got placements in some reputed companies through our college. I don't think we get good placements through our college. No we students of BA masscom do not get any internships as our management is biased towards other courses. I think no one from our class had done an internship through our college but I have got an internships on my own

College Events

3.5

CAPTURA 2K19- A photography, short film competition will be held every year to motivate students to do well in photography and film making. They also celebrate fresher's party and farewell. There are many events going on every year. I don't even remember event names as they are lot

Fee Structure And Facilities

For middle class family it sounds expensive. According to 2017 that means when I have joined fee structure was 41 thousand rupees per sem. And now it may be increased. There are colleges which are offering same course at lesser cost. In my view yes it is EXPENSIVE

Fees and Financial Aid

No there are no scholarship facility and as I know there is no loan facility offered by our college. Even I have lost scholarship that is offered by state government as our college is taking their admissions as they wish and they are not associated with state govt scholarship scheme.

Campus Life

3

There is a psychology lab which is useful for psychology purpose but there is no studio for us. It is necessary to provide masscom students with a minimum range of studio in order to understand the filmmaking and all stuff which goes in journalism field

Hostel Facilities

0.5

No our college doesn't provide any hostel facilities. So Iam staying in a private hostel (pg). It costs me around 5 thousand for staying in private hostel. These 5 thousand rupees doesn't include my external expenses.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes they were friendly. But I didn't get any help from them. I know very few of them and they are not intellectuals. There is good relationship between students and faculty and alumni. Students can be friendly with lecturers. Faculty is helpful and generous for students

Admission

I wished to do some creative course in arts so I thought about getting an admission into a filmmaking institution but filmmaking institution charge you a quite lot so I decided to join BA masscommunication which costs less. Then I went on to search about colleges offering BA MASSCOM. So finally I did find a college and that's my college now. During admission they have given me some general questionnaire. Even though I have not performed well I have got an admission.

Faculty

2.5

As percieved by me they were not great and they were not worst. They are represent typical faculty in every college. Sometimes they allow us to learn on our own. For the truth sake, Iam not satisfied with the faculty

Placement Experience:

From the last semester which is the 6th sem, the students are allowed to go for placements. The companies that visited included Deloitte and other companies as such. that visit the college. And the highest package was around 5 lakh per annum. The placements were in full go only for courses like BCOM or BSC Computures, there were no placement opportunities for the course of B.A. There did not take any recruitment take place as such for our course. The percentage of students getting places was very low. The average package was 1 to 2 lakh per annum.

The college provides a lot of opportunities. The final year is the time for placements. Top MNC companies come here for placements and select the best. Students need to be prepared for the placements. They are done by the topmost MNCs. We get this opportunity to do our internship under supervisors in that particular field, and there is continuous support and guidance given by the teaching staff.
