The Beauty of VGEC

Likes

All the faculties are very good at teaching their respective subject
Every student comes from similar love for learning so it is easier to
The greenery grown all around the college by nss makes it very beautiful

Dislikes

The washrooms are always very dirty. Not cleaned properly
Many of the lab instruments don't work so it is difficult during lectures
It is too hot during summer since there are only fans and classrooms are a bit congested

The college provides us with placements and internship opportunities. The average package per year is 3-4 lakhs. Companies like TCS , Hitachi, tech mahindra, IBM , Infosys, ISRO have visited our college and provided placements. Minimum 7 cgpa is required for a student to be eligible for interviews, although it may differ for different countries. I plan to finish my masters after graduation before getting a job.

College life - at VGEC

I like this college as I have got this government college through ACPC counselling and this college is considered one of the reputed government Engineering College.
I like how faculties are so supportive and kind .They guide us with every aspect of problems whether it is related to our studies or career guidance . Many of the faculties are passionate about their subjects .
There are ample of opportunities provided by our college like they support Innovation and startup through SSIP program an initiative of Gujarat Government to support college startups and innovation .

Dislikes

Library timing is not so flexible in this college .The library opened at 11:30 and they had a lunch pf about 1 hour between 2 pm to 3 pm and during that time nobody is allowed to study in the library ..and on top of that it even closes early .
Canteen facilities are not so good earlier .Now it has been fixed but earlier there were no fixed place for canteen as they were frequently relocating .Now the canteen issue is resolved and they offer food and beverages at very reasonable price 😄
Lab session are just for show .In engineering most of the lab are just a chill time for students as they attend to get attendance but are not interested in learning .Even some of the Faculties are not interested in taking lab session .

Due to lesser amount in fees structure it is the main role of our college.
Our college professor are very polite and very humble.
Boys to girl ratio is very high.Boys are 4 times greater from the girls.

The students placed every year around 60-65 %.

ABOUT MY COLLEGE

Likes

I liked the classes and regularity of the teching even though it is a government college
I liked the maths tutorials classes which are taken seriously by the faculties
I liked the weekly exam ideas for each subject

Dislikes

Sometimes faculties does not let us know that there is no lecture on the particular day
Thare are no equipments in the physics laboratory
No regular labs are taken by the faculties

Placement Experience:

From semester seventh students are eligible for campus placements. The campus placements in vishwakarma government engineering college is much much greater than any other colleges such as indus and lj and many more. Almost 75 percentage of students gets placed every year in electronics and communication branch

campus is too good like so peaceful to study and area is also really nice . so many trees in campus so environment is also good. best for engineering people to study.
faculties are really educated and nice to students especially ec department
girl's hostel facilities are also good. they are really caring for women specially.girl's parents do not have to worry about their child being away from them.

Dislikes

because of so much greenary sometimes in monsoon it is difficult in campus
too strict in campus, they do not allow people without helmet enter the college
hostel guards do not allow hostellers' mothers to enter sometimes.

-placements are good . from 5th semester studets become eligible for camus placements so many companies like einfochip L&T pvt ltd nirma tata etc. highest package in my course was 21 lakh per year. and average package is 4 to 5 lakh per year . approx 30% students get placements from applied students
