Dislikes

Bad attitude from the management. They are all about collecting money from you. They behave well with the parents but not with students.I had to call my parents over to college to check up something related to fees as they were reluctant to answer me
The collage is beat for academic purpose but when we consider about the non academic things such as sports, music, etc are not encouraged here.
Not very much support in sports and other activities

The Honest One

The college has a very well maintained hostel as well as a mess for food. Most places do not have a proper hygiene in food and accomodation, But the college has done a very good job in maitaining cleanliess
Most of the professors are experienced ones and they play an immense role in teaching the students in a very friendly and disciplined way, Including both old school as well as modern methods.
The college has lots of other facilites like a gymnasium, football ground, Two canteens, A councelling hall, A large area present in the college boundary

Dislikes

there is a huge restriction in the arrival time of students back to the hostel. They are not permitted back inside the hostel, If they exceed 6:00pm which is pretty early and the students are not given exceptions
even though there are no classes scheduled on Saturdays. But still the college takes classes on first and third Saturdays which is not fair
One of the most frustrating thing is that the college does not support any type of extra curricular activities. The Students are not supported financially for any inter university or other competitions as well.They are not even granted the attendence

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for campus placements after 6th semester. The comapnies like cognizant, infosys, tcs etc have visited and recruited students from my college before. A student must have no arrears as well as an average CGPA to qualify for campus placements. The highest payment would be between 5-8LPA .

Placements are very good. We have companies coming for placement like Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, cognizant, TCS and many more. Recruiting students at a large scale is obvious and the person who is intelligent enough can also get a high level of package.

Likes

Faculty Expertise and Mentorship ,they provide personalzed mentorship helping students in both academics and proffesional development
The college offers good infrastructure well-equiped laboratories and an extensive libraries
VJEC has a strong placement record with a dedicated placement cell that organizes training

Dislikes

Heavy academic workload with a tight deadline and packed syllabus.
Lack of focus on extracurricular Activities
Is located at a remote area ,some students can feel that this isolation can limit access to city amenities

My experience here in Vimal Jyothi Engineering College

Likes

Scerene Campus. The scenery from the campus and hostel is good.There are a lot of beautiful plants and trees.
Some good hotels nearby to have good food for a change from the campus hostels.
There are some good teachers who are valuable gems. Their good minded nature soothed me during my tough time.

Dislikes

Lack of growth oppurtunities.It is all about studying according to syllabus. They do conduct some add on courses but they never check up whether the new tutors are good enough or not. We just end up wasting 2-3 days as nothing good came out of it.

Many teachers and students judge each other based on marks. The campus is quite strict. They just dont care about the mental wellness of students. They conduct 3 internal exams a sem . They also provide the question banks in advance .

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from S7 onwards. The placement statistics say around 60 -70% of students are placed but that doesn't mean all are happy with what they got. Most of them have packages ranging from 1.5 to 5 Lakhs per annum which is not that great. But the placement Coordinator is really helpful. The placements also depend on the skills of the students. The college is trying its best to bring new opportunities. It lies in the hands of the students whether they pass or not. Many also choose for higher studies and also go for off-campus placement opportunities.

Our collage always clears the syllables before the exam, it is one of the best thing especially for me. I personally liked mechanical and passionate about cars so i have chosen the course. The faculties here will help us to complete the syllables before the main exams.
