It has a good infrastructure and distributed offices.
The teachers are helpful, cooperative and well versed in the matter and profession.
The psychology classroom is air conditioned.
Dislikes
All other non AC classrooms are very stuffy
Time management with respect to syllabus completion is not well handled
Only two boys in a class of 60 making it a very imbalanced partial majority
Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum is very well designed especially with an additional component that no other colleges offer making this course one of a kind. Being an autonomous college they are free to design their syllabus and exams in the best interest of the students and keep it up to date. The course is a comprehensive base for a master's in psychology. The difficulty of the exam is in line with the material taught. The only point of improvement is time management with respect to completing the portion
The faculties here for degree courses are good. They mostly have senoir and experienced faculty members who give you the complete insights of the subject
There are many extra curricular activities and the college fest is good too
Annual day is celebrated nicely and gives you a chance to participate in many intercollege events
Dislikes
Some of the washrooms aren't clean specially boys washrooms
The office management is slow. They made me wait for 1 month to give my marksheets after graduation.
Some of the new visiting faculties aren't that great
Course Curriculum Overview:
One of the major reasons I chose Patkar college was the good subject combinations they have.My subject combination was English,History and psychology and since patkar is an autonomous college the choice of portion was so nice and interesting topics specially literature.
I chose it because the College has an excellent arts faculty.
The faculty-student ratio is nothing different from other colleges. 1: 60
But as far as I've observed almost every student is included in the learning process.
Teachers were really encouraging and had sound knowledge of their subject matter.
Exams were relatively easy and it was easy to pass.
I am not sure about the placements and jobs of our college. But basically, the students who are into teaching or want to pursue teaching get an internship or job for teaching in our college itself. Other than this, I'm not aware of the other departments or the self financed courses.
