The college boasts a diverse and well-qualified faculty, predominantly from South India, with a student-faculty ratio of 10:1. The faculty includes Nobel laureates and highly experienced professors, alongside some SRM graduates who have returned to teach. Most faculty members hold at least an M.Tech degree, with each department having at least 10 PhD holders, underscoring the quality of education. Faculty members are known for their practical teaching methods, often drawing from real-life examples and ensuring syllabus completion through additional classes if necessary.
They provide substantial support for student projects and startups, and are very approachable for doubt clarification, though patience and politeness are sometimes necessary. New faculty are recruited annually, and students have the option to choose their faculty, reflecting the management's confidence in their staff. Despite some initial inconsistencies with first-year faculty, the overall teaching standard is regarded as good, with a focus on research motivation over industrial exposure. Faculty availability is structured, with contact times displayed on the notice board.
The college also offers good placement opportunities, although it may not be the best choice for students aiming to clear competitive exams like GATE.
