Remarks
Expect a chill four years and nothing more. Don't come expecting world class education cause you will not get that. However you'll get lots of memories and good times and a good college life.
Entrance Preview
It's a private college so they have their own test. 2 formats, online and offline. I gave the offline one back in 2015. The test was easier than that of VIT's . Most of the exam was 12th syllabus. If you don't get a good rank you can always get the stream you want by paying extra.
Course Curriculum Overview
It's pretty standard for most colleges, except for a couple of electives which you can opt for starting from the second year now, previously it was third year so there has been some improvements in the respect of curriculum but still lags behind the world.
Internships Opportunities
No they won't help you in that field, you will have to get one on your own every time you're required to. It can be stressful but it's not that difficult, you can find your way around the hassle.
Placement Experience
Placements are above average, but nothing to be proud of. This is in relation to colleges across India which are private or state run(not comparing to IITs and NITs and BITs).
College Events
As a part of a big university, the events are pretty huge, national level, with a big budget often some stars come for promotions as well.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As expected from a private college, it's expensive. The base fee starts at 1.8 LPA which is when you have a decent rank for the field you want. If you don't have a decent rank then the annual fee goes upto 3.5lakh.
Hostel Facilities
Everyone moves out of the hostel after the first year and then the real fun begins. But if you haven't stayed in a hostel before, strongly recommend the hostel experience you'll make memories for life.
Exam Structure
Apart from the first month of every semester, you have a series of Class Tests of Mid-semester exams or Semester exams coming up in the span of every two weeks. I won't lie, you get used to it,almost immune to anything and everything that can happen to you.
Faculty
It's a huge college so the no. of teachers is pretty big as well. As a result, you'll get a mix of all sorts of faculty. Some are highly qualified professors while others are SRM graduates who came back to SRM to teach.
