We have a very good count of companies visiting our campus with a very good package this college is best in terms of placement.
The teachers teach so well and are too friendly and pay attention to all students and encourages to study.
That is the best one and here a lot of festivals take place in my opinion this is a good college for enjoying campus lifestyle.

Dislikes

Not proper facilities not good food in hostel i am not i hostel but i feel bad for. Hostel students
I hate couple in the college because they can make distraction
Mess food is sometimes very bad unhygienic sometimes only this occurs

CGC LANDRAN REVIEW

Teachers are very supportive and are helpful
Campus is quite good but not good as expected

Dislikes

Students can not enter college after 10 am even though you are sick or for any other reason you're not allowed to enter college campus after after 10 am
So basically there are two engineering colleges under cgc - cec and coe and more preference is given to cec students and coe students are highly partialated on many basis.

After completing 6th semester students became eligible for getting campus placements and many companies like Google Microsoft Amazon Flipkart prime fox and many other companies making it 800 in total visit college for campus placements around 80% of students gets job in campus placements. highest package for cse is 54 lpa in 2023 and average package was 8lpa

I liked the faculty the staff and the show they organise
I liked their alumni network they have designated stars as their alumni
They have a special placement cell for placement

Dislikes

They have a small campus it’s like 50acre only
Outside the Chandigarh no one knows the name of cgc

Placement Experience:

From six sem a student became eligible for placement the company that visit the cgc landran most is tech mahindra tcs wipro etc the highest package is of 40lpa and the average is 4lpa 95 percent student gets placed in the college placement i will join the job that i will get

Life in cgc

Likes

I like the faculty members of the college
Campus is very neat and clean and very big in area wise
This college provides many internship to the students to learn and update their skills

Dislikes

Hostel food is not very delicious it's ok.
The college timing is very lengthy because it's start from 9 am to 5 pm
The lifts are less so students have to climb the stairs to reach there classes

Placement Experience:

The highest placement of thecolle is 34 lakhs which is in Microsoft and the average placement of the students is 6 lakhs. I got 7.3 cgp in all the 8 semesters which is pretty well and I also placed in BOSCH company for 10lakh package.

My perfect college

Likes

The college provides great placement opportunities.
It has a great friendly and coding environment.
The faculty is helpful and supportive and available at any time.

Dislikes

The campus is very small as compared to other colleges.
There are less celebrities coming and lesser events.
The hostel’s washroom is not upto the mark in terms of cleanliness.

Placement Experience:

Various companies like Adobe , Amazon visit to the campus of the college and hire interns starting from 3rd semester onwards. I want a degree and then will get a job in a respected company and then will follow my dream.

College as heaven

Likes

College is very huge and gigantic with some beautiful views
Hostel premises is very nice and clean and have great looks.
Campus contains of 3-4 huge parks where we can sit and have fun.

Dislikes

Hostel mess food is not too much of good quality
Hostel premises contains of not too much of good quality of toilets
Campus doesn't have any personal hall for students

Placement Experience:

The highest package of the college last year was 3500000 per annum and the lowest package was of 340000 per annum for the basic engineering department. Every year almost 80% of the students get campus placement.

NO FOCUS ON ESPORTS,THE FOOD IS ALSO BAD.

1.7 SEMESTER ONWARDS THE PLACEMENT START 2.MANY COMPANIES LIKE TCS,INFOSYS,AMAZON VISIT HERE 3.HIGHEST PAKAGE IS ABOUT 64LPA AND THE AVERAGE PAKAGE IS ABOUT 3.5LPA 4.80% OF THE STUDENTS GETS PLACED 5.I PLAN ON PURSUING HIGHER STUDIES.

Best choice ever made about studying in CGC, Landran ?

Likes

The professors are highly studied and guide the student at every step during the course and even after completing the course.
The classrooms are with the smart screens and seating arrangements are the best.
Events, co-curricular activities, concerts, etc., everything is balanced with the studies and enjoyment

Dislikes

The campus is huge and buildings are somewhat away from each other to go on foot. But this only feels for some days in the starting.

Placement Experience:

There is 90% Placement for the department. There are in-campus and off-campus Placements available for the students. Highest package was 40 lakhs per annum for a B.Tech student. If the student scores good percentage, they'll get a job anywhere as the University is reputable enough.

Cgc coe landran

Likes

In cgc coe of you have merits then you will have good package in hands by campus placement.
College have good sports department which conducts regular tournament.
College DSW department is also good and conducts many cultural and party events .

Dislikes

In cgc faculty didn't encourage you to do something productive.
Faculty don't want to teach like a pro faculty which average or lower students need.

Placement Experience:

In cgc placement is quite good enough. There are around more than 8k job offers by our college. This year almost 70 % students are placed. But in recession time these will be decreased. My plans is join a good MNC company which will give a more than 12lakh per year package.

The campus is big, filled with many food shops and restaurants, overall infrasructure is good.
The diveristy of students ie- students studying here are all from different regions of india, himachal, haryana, punjab, delhi, kashmir etc. Which is a good thing

Dislikes

I didnt like the way of teaching that much

Placement Experience:

As i have taken reviews of my seniors they say they do get placements in 2nd last semester as in bca it will be 5th sem and for btech its 7th sem, many companies like amazon, google and more have visited, percentage of students geting placement would be 50 percent i guess

Faculty of this college is really good
Library are very good and big every block have it's own library which is really good and helpful for students to find the books
Garden and ground are also very good there are two main grounds for playing both are very big and good for Playing anything you want

Dislikes

A bit strictness which may or may not necessary for some point of time
Hostel food is bit odd and some washrooms are not really good

Placement Experience:

There is good campus placement in our college. Every year around 300+ company visits for placement and most of the students who are eligible are getting placed with good LPA so percentage of placement depends on company to company although 7.5cgpa is the basic criteria
