Dislikes

College fees are 6k. Hostel fees are 6k. Mess fees are 2k monthly. Exam fees are approximately 2k. Government College of Technology in Coimbatore is one of the cheapest colleges. You can complete your BTech for less than 1 lakh.
Here comes the major drawback of my college: the hostel facility. The rooms will be very small. The quality of the meals will be very bad. We will eat outside to avoid it here. The registration process is simple only. No, I didnt rent, and there is no option like that

Likes

Some colleges have a very bad environment of things like ragging & all that shit but here in this college there is no ragging
Everyone treats you well & respectfully .

Dislikes

Infrastructure is very poor since it's old college
There is no warm environment in this college it's kind of boring

Placement Experience:

After 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements but there should have no backlog The highest package that has offered this far is 32 lakhs & the average package goes around 6 to 8 lakhs

My Pov of GCT

Likes

Good staffs and faculties in both teaching and non teaching segments
Large and various lab facilities. Individual blocks for eqch department

Dislikes

Not much importance for extra curricular activities
Infrastructure is not so good in this college

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the end of 6th semester. Reputed companies like Walmart, D E Shaw, ZoHo and many other companies provide many offers. Most of the students will get placed in companies. My plan is to pursue higher studies.

Teachers are well educated and we'll experienced with good practical knowledge
Environment of the college is good , not too much crowded.

Dislikes

They don't have too much infrastructure ,like the Hostel are not too much good.

Placement Experience:

As the college is located near the IT hub so lot of opportunities are there and many companies come to hire the students like BOSCH, SAMSUNG, ONEBILL, INCTURE etc. and they provide very good package also. The average package is 10 lacs.

Likes

The college environment is good and also they allow sport's
Staffs are too educated always help us and conduct symposium

Dislikes

Lab equipment are not good and buildings are too old
Hostel foods are not good and also management is not good

Course Curriculum Overview:

In course all are good all are major courses only like digital electronics very long all are related to our department and techniquely that course are very helpful for interviews and also provide some elective courses like professionals ethics and Management Theory during my final summer they provide on course like naan Mudhalvan it will be to helpful for us to know about the detail of our project.

The environment is very good to learn. It is full of trees, peacocks, so natural.
Canteen is good. it provides food apart from snacks.Both veg & non veg is given.

Dislikes

Faculties always keep students in study circle.
There is no sufficient time to learn courses apart from syllabus.

Placement Experience:

Top companies like tata,Wipro,HCl.etc come to this college with an average salary package of ?5,00,000per annum.The highest package is ?12,00,000per annum.Students are eligible from 5th semester onwards.

Campus is surrounded with trees and greenery

Mess food is the worst. Except lunch all the meals are very poor

Students are eligible to attend placement from the 7th sem. Various companies visit our college Several companies like tcs, Volvo, mitsogo have visited our college. Around 100 companies visit each year Highest package 15 lap Around 60% get placed I want to continue higher studies

Moderate fees and High quality education.
Comraderie among students is present here.

Dislikes

Mess food is worst here. Dosa is really in edible.
Hostel rooms in the 4th year are the worst.

The college i miss

Likes

Hostel, campus infrastructureand the fee structure
Getting placements within the campus and helping seniors in coaching for placements

Dislikes

The distance to travel from my home to college was i dislike the most

Placement Experience:

The placements are excellent. The maximum package is 13 LPA and the minimum is around 3 LPA. Almost 98 per cent of students get their placement before the end semester. Bulk recruiting companies like TCS and Robert bosch Aspire systems Will do on-campus interviews.

From the 6th semester, we can attend placements. Many companies like Zoho, Bosch, Viasat, Aspire Systems, Amazon, and IBM. The highest package is around 20 LPA and the lowest is 4 LPA. Around 90% of students are placed. I am going to work in a company.
