Course Curriculum Overview
Every department students have able to work in IT field even some of them in Industrial biotechnology. Life science background have wide range of career. Exam timings teaching methodology was good as now.
Internships Opportunities
4 weeks are taking internship compulsorily. And ther provide government internship with 15000 stipend for 20 members per class. Some selecting criteria was followed like income, single parent or not, and cgpa
Placement Experience
Placements was too good comparatively other government colleges in tamil nadu. But poor than private colleges. There no any placement training guidance from staff co ordinator. If we want to get job, we have to prepare by selfstudy.
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fees i paid was 7000 For sc and st 2000 rupees lesser than others fees For hostel i paid 6000 per year..and monthly i paid mess fees upto 2500. And semester exam fees i paid was 150 per paper Scholarships are like alumi Scholarship, community Scholarship, pragati scholarship for girls, and government stipend internship also provided by college.
Campus Life
In my college sports are top position all sports are trained by senior students but very well and interest from every year juniors. All sports are available in gct. Clubs also available like retract club, ysc club, green club, so on. Totally 150 clubs are active in gct.
Hostel Facilities
In hostel rooms and rest rooms are good but coming to food poor food we ate daily. But we cannot change because below 3000 rupees everyone have to pay. If we want anyother menu the rate will increase and someone not able to pay
Admission
In counseling i only got GCT. One and only reason was fees structure was very less than other engineering colleges and very affordable one. And having more scholarship benefits. Government college of technology
Faculty
Student staff relationship was good in some staffs. Few staffs treating students with vengeance and reducing their internals. In my department i had face that issue. My genetic engineering staff put 12 mark out of 40. I got arrear even i scored 65 in external. Cheapest thing in my lifetime
Night Life
Gym was too good, library was too too good all books are available all author books are available in gct library. Campus timings 9 to 4.40 Hostel timings for boys they will go out any time and coming back to hostel. But for girls scheduled timings was followed.
