College gives special focus on coaching for competitive examinations, soft skill development, career counseling, remedial coaching, personal counseling, yoga, meditation and bridge courses. Language lab helps in improving students' communicative English. Remedial coaching is provided for slow learners, Tamil medium students and vocational students. Personal counseling is a core activity of every teaching staff as a mentor. Orientation programs, career counseling and guidance programs are organized to familiarize students with curricular, co-curricular, extra- curricular activities and career opportunities. Some students have cleared national level competitive examinations and have progressed to higher levels of learning or employment. Grievances pertaining to students are redressed by the Grievance Cell. The Anti-Ragging Committee and AntiSexual Harassment Cell took ample measures to prevent untoward incidents in the campus. The centralized placement cell assists students for career identification and employment. Placement services are offered in the college for the outgoing students and possess a continuous track record of high recruitment by renowned firms

Ponjesly College of Engineering is affording essential infrastructure facilities for quality technical education. The college has 49 lecture halls, 8 tutorial halls, 5 seminar halls, 1 drawing hall, 1 conference hall, 4 examination halls, 2 auditoriums and 38 laboratories. Students and faculties are aided with college transport facilities. Resource persons, guests are taken care of at the guest house. Sports facilities have been established for both indoor and outdoor games. Indoor games include badminton, table tennis, carom, chess, swimming, and shuttlecock. Outdoor games include Cricket, Football, Basketball, and Volleyball. Separate and spacious hostels are provided inside the campus for both boys and girls. The average percentage of budget allocation, excluding salary for infrastructure augmentation during the last five years is approximately 31.24%. The Central library spreads over an area of 1141.74 m2. It has an extensive collection of books continuously augmented. Circulation of books is done through the Barcode system. The library subscribes to numerous numbers of popular periodical, National and International journals, e-journals such as IEEE, ASME, ASCE and holds membership with DELNET, N-List, NDL, ICTACT. It has about 33,882 books, 1,781 international e-journals and 87 printed journals. 190 rare books such as Encyclopedias, Handbooks, Dictionaries and Costly Books.117 competitive exam preparation books are available in the library. The average annual addition of books is about 472 volumes

Ponjesly College of Engineering is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and it follows the University prescribed curriculum and syllabi.
