My experience at kelkar college

Likes

The college infrastructure is awesome, the environment is there, I loved how the students takes initiative to manage events, handle the classes or students in sports etc. few teachers were good
It provided me with my railway pass benefit. My art was also appreciated there which I really loved.

Dislikes

Few teachers were old school, they need to adapt as per the new age I feel.
attandance was very low, so I was usually sitting with only 1 or 2 boys. I felt it should have been improved

Course Curriculum Overview:

curriculum is moderately relevant, nothing too updated about today's environment. Its doable though, as the bases are covered pretty well. so you are prepared at basic level for further real world applications. Their teaching methods should be up to date with the new methods, they should integrate youtube more into studies. exams are half yearly and moderate, not too easy, not too hard

The knowledge I received in the course was extremely valuable. It is a very rigorous course, however if done diligently, you walk out with abundance of knowledge that helps you in your masters.
Infinite opportunities for co-curricular activities in college.
A lot of opportunities to grow, not just academically but also as a person.

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not great. The classrooms have the benches like we had in school and even the projectors do not work in a lot of classrooms.
The administration is terrible. Everything is paperwork and they never keep a track of your data.
Very less support from the college for students to grow in other areas than academic stuff.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Everything was taught well. a lot of extra topics were covered that are usually covered in masters but we were given a preview of that. Statistics was taught very well and in depth. Research skills were taught incrcedibly well and were thoroughly refined through practice. The subject of Psychopathology was taught immensely well by the HOD, which helped me choose Clinical Psychology for Masters. Cognitive Psychology and Industrial and Organizational Psychology was okay, but the syllabus for the same was good

How is life at kelkar college

Likes

Crowd is very good and little bit sobo u can make friends quickly
Infrastructure is kinda okay,You can study peacefully in the library
The College fest is top notch but during college fest college students also enjoys the small small events in regular college days

Dislikes

Toilets are not clean and needs to be fixed the boys toilets are the worst
College ground is kinda small so u can't play football freely with long shoots
College canteen is too mid to food is okay but canteen need a big upgrade

Placement Experience:

Before the last semester the student becomes Eligible for campus placements Names of the companies visited are TCS,Wipro etc offers are made on the basis of personal skills The highest package offered was 6 lpa 60% students get placements My plan after getting the is to purse higher studies in Europe

Supporting professors who always helped each and every student to understand the chapter or whatever they were lacking behind they always make sure that the students are at ease
Friendly environment the college environment is so friendly that no one is left alone everyone will make sure no one is getting bully or anything like that
Canteen the food oh my god i miss anna so much chillie rice is the best & chinese bhel the best food at such a great price

Dislikes

Less lectures i mean i wish we had 6 lecs a day or something like that so that we can spend more time in our classrooms
Nothing more everything was so perfect at college miss those days kelkar was the best life choice
Nearby there were no cafes or anything but college had enough beverages & foof

It was pretty much good actually they made sure that all the methods would lead to learning better way the exams timing & everything they made sure every student who are doing CA/CS/CMA should not cross over the exams the schedule & everything was goof

Likes

Good college and staff is also supportive and good
The college conduct fests, events, program which are really interesting
Seniors of the college are helpful as the guide juniors for acedemics

Dislikes

College don't have a good infrastructure
College has not a average infrastructure as it is a old college
College has a strict attendance of 75% which is mandatory

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement after cleaning all semester and should not have any backlogs in any subject if in case students have he or she may have to clear it before the last semester or before campus placement

the faculty members are knowledgeable And dedicated, providing Quality, education, and guidance
There are numerous clubs and societies Catering to various interests such as drama, dance, music, sports.
The campus is well equipped with modern facilities

Dislikes

The administrative process is slow. Support staff is quite arrogant.
During the peak hours some Facilities like library and cafeteria Get overcrowded.
The parking facilities Could be better Finding a parking Spot was often challenging

I will rate course curriculum at the Kelkar College pretty high in the terms of relevance, and comprehensiveness. it covers all the key aspects of mass media and really prepares you for the industry. the mix of theory and a practical work is solid, making it a well-rounded program

The teaching of the college is very good the staff is very friendly and well educated and the campus and the social activities are also very good

Dislikes

The outer infrastructure of the college is quite average which can be improved by painting the walls .

The college teachers are well qualified and some of them are qualified at the international level the teachers are very friendly . I took the degree because as I am now practicing for the civil services examination I found it would you relatable to the things that I will be required to learn in that and also the things that we learn in this course helps us society for example if a move to a bank or insurance centre it helps us there. The exams are half yearly each year consist of two sems and two class tests

in kelkar college students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester itself big companies like Colgate,Asian Paints Approach for placements The Average package offered is 3lakhs pa and the highest package is 6lakhs pa for banking and insurance students for getting placements student has to score around 8cgpa for a good placement my plans after getting a degree would be probably mba if i get into a excellent college otherwise doing a job and getting experience and then opting for mba

College life- so much but so little.

Likes

The faculty is very approachable. They're ready to serve whatever the students need, the course is designed very thoughtfully and caters to the latest updates and requirements in the Corporate world.

Dislikes

The campus is very small, there's not much to explore around. Information about anything is not provided immediately by the staff, students have to refer the college site which is not regularly updated.

Placement Experience:

I dont have idea about the placements as of now because they are available after ty and im in ty now. Based on what i have heard, good companies come with their offers. The package varies based on the knowledge of the student and the level of work they get.

The faculty is very well refined. Not only do they guide perfectly but they also stand by the interest of the students.
The Committee Opportunities. Vaze Sanskriti, ELA are probably the best clubs you'll ever find.
Canteen facility is quite well maintained and is taken in consideration with reference to health of the students.

Dislikes

Infrastructure needs a lot of work. There need to be more classes enough to fit all the students admitted.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are quite less in the commerce course. The ones that are available are mostly taken up by CA students which leaves no room for other students. Companies like Deloitte, Colgate and Hindustan Unilever visited for placement. Highest salary was 5 LPA and avg salary was 3.8 LPA
