An Honest Review of Kelkar College Life and Academics

Likes

The college campus is nice and sufficient offers various courses in science, arts and commerce streams.
The library is also one of the best things in college providing both soft and hard copies of the books required.
IT lab is available for students when there are no on-going lectures.

Dislikes

Teaching is bit in-efficient you can't completely rely on it.
Few washrooms need to be maintained properly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculam is irrelevant at some point. There are few subjects which are applicable in real world but not the whole curiculam is relevant. Some of the aspects of curriculam include learning a subject of other stream which I think is great idea as it can help us to understand the opportunities and knowledge that other stream has. Teaching is bit insufficient it can be improved. There is hardly time left to prepare for exams due to remaining portion and load of completing the assignments.

Likes

The faculty is great. Although it may vary from course to course.
The campus is clean and sanitation is maintained throught the place.

Dislikes

The college is far from the station and thus this may cause delays.

This course touches the core concepts of the IT field and is designed for people interested in the same. Recently under the introduction of the NEP this course has underwent some major to minor changes but to conclude it focuses on the necessary skills required by the industry.

"A comprehensive journey : My experience at Kelkar Vaze College"

supportive faculty - the prof at kelkar were highly knowledgeable and approachable. their teaching methods were interactive and they provided excellent mentorship throughout my academic journey
campus life - the campus atmosphere was vibrant with numerous cultural events and clubs to join.
dimensions fest - the intercollege fest of kelkar which is a massive entertainment hub and organises various events every month which every student looks forward to

Dislikes

timetable irregular - the timetable is very irregular and not suitable for students sometimes , where college timings ranging from 7am to 3 pm.
examination faculty sometimes misplaces and mis organises the exams seating benches due to which there is confusion and sometimes classes are also incorrectly specified.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the course curriculum at kelkar as relevant and fairly comprehensive, i chose it for its balance of theory and practical applications, especially in subjects like VSEC pol sci , the subject prepares students well for real world scenarios and further academic pursuits .

The fees structure was overall very affordable and great
The management of jr college was very helpful and great
Promoting students to play sports alongwith the studies

Dislikes

Then management of degree college was worst.
Once the sir of degree college fybcom 2023-24 of our batch have us 40 pages back to back handwritten assignment in the evening 8 pm and asked to submit the assessment on other day 10 am without any expansion that to in sem exam period of other subjec
The degree college faculty for main subjects is very rude and straight forward, not at all helpful

Placement Experience:

• in the final year that is in sem 5-6 you get eligible for the job placements. Placements are good in the campus As far I I have heard about the highest package they provide for plain b.com pass out was around 300000/-???? My plans after b.com Is to study further.

Campus is very beautiful and big it honestly is so pretty
Teachers the faculty is the best and the most educated

I chose this as I wanted to be a manager. I felt this to be the best course to help me do so. Bachelor of management studies does prepare me for the real world and also helps me understand a lot of problems. The frequency and timing of exam is 2 times per sem and it's within one month The one month is spent on presentations projects and assignments

The college and campus was very huge. There were many events held in college. The most famous is dimensions fest.
Liked the Rest rooms for relaxing yourself, Games and sports clubs were too good
Most important the teaching of teachers was very good, it was very easy to give exams by their thoughts

Dislikes

No such things that I disliked bt the one thing is they take very big amount of fees and extra money during admissions
The worst drink of canteen which is a hot chocolate
And also the rate for every food item was very high

As i was not interested in any other course so I simply choosed commerce for my better future . The exams were not so hard it was as what they taught in lectures. Timings of exams were flexible in afternoon.

Good management and staff they help you in any way possible without wasting your time and do a very good work
They have a very good canteen which provides good quality food and the prices are also affordable
The ratio of boys and girls are pretty equal. No unnecessary fights occur in the college

Dislikes

The classrooms could improve for eg the benches aren’t good some of them are broken .b
There are projecters in the classroom but they aren’t used which i think is bad

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate it very good as the topics thought are very good useful and easy to understand. There are libraries available for all to refer or learn more about any topic they want the teachers are always available to help the students

I liked the staff and there coordination with the students.

Dislikes

Campus could be more big. Just by adding some more space.
The college is not that strict But still its is more strict than other colleges.
We had to take permissions for chilling in the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am more interested in banking and finance so i chose this field. The course prepares me to the real world for the growth of our country in financial terms. The exams are better, not that difficult but not that easy.
