We have 3 interview rounds and an entrance exam the eligibility is above 75% the application is found on the sjcc website if you clear the entrance it's easy to get into the college with a good percentage.
Certain faculty teach good and the concepts are taught in a effective manner.
From 5 semesters students are eligible for campus placements the top companies like jp morgan, kpmg, tata, etc.

Dislikes

Only my last year of sjcc was a little bit of struggle as the father changed and the environment of sjcc shifted from its real origin which makes Joseph what it is, which is cultural focus and not only academic excellence which in return came
I dislike things which I don't like the most
And Also I don't like the people who are not loyal to me

St Joseph's College of Commerce

Likes

The best thing about the college is that it is located in the heart of the city.
The Faculty are well trained in most of the aspects, they have a good expertise in most of the areas.
The course which I have opted is tailor made for CA students. Through this we get a basic knowledge of what's in the subject.

Dislikes

One thing I don't like is the 2nd shift in the college. People just come to the college for showing off.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I opted the course because of pursuing CA. Bcom Regular basically constitutes all the subjects that are present in CA course. These subject has made us prolific in certain areas. It has also prepared us for many real world situations and exams. We are even given seminars every week and have to make PPT's .

Review of SJCC

Likes

Very good people and nice atmosphere all around
Short class duration which can help CA students
Very accessible to metro and other modes of transport

Dislikes

Lack of professional teachers, they focus on discipline too much
The studies are not at par with many other colleges
Don’t prepare us a lot on real life skills

Placement Experience:

College placements are very common as the college has very strong connections with EY and other accounting firms. There is a very strong alumni network leading to easy placement with decently high packages in college.

For hostel the food would be average it seems

From 2 nd year onwards they will be start providing opportunities for the students to find job and make them ready for there job and look into placement facilities.some good companies have visited this college

Small graduation journey!

Likes

everyone is included and valued equally.
good facilties and resources for students to avail at all times
Qualified set of faculties, who are humble and down to earth.

Dislikes

very small campus and less space to roam around.
limited access to library due to the size of the room
tons and heaps of assignment to finish in short course of time

Placement Experience:

- from 5th semester - deloitte, Goldmansachs, EY, KPMG, Accenture, oracle - offers made 200 - highest was 12lpa and was offered in Hyderabad - 90% was the percentage of students getting placed - work in a start up

A college students ideal life

Likes

I loved the certain infrastructure of college and the vibes that it gives
The campus life is amazing too at this college
The quality of infrastructure is good to due to recent renovation happing in college

Dislikes

The location of the college and how it's placed
Then the placements that the college offers
And the canteen food that the college provides

Placement Experience:

Placements are actually pretty ok in my college we have some big companies that to recruit students like Goldman Sachs EY JMPC etc and they also offer a pretty decent amount as freshers should get paid so for us internship starts at the 2nd year of college and it's not alot of people who get selected say maybe only like 300 people get selected through college

SJCC: Is the hype worth it?

The exposure provided especially in terms of the various clubs and associations, internships and international immersion programmes. The regular camps as a part of college and associations help immensely in character formation.
The teaching methods of some of the faculty is good and helps in proper understanding of concepts.
Small size of the college leads to stronger bonds among peers and better peer learning.

Dislikes

A lot of the faculty members do not put in effort to help us in basic understanding cf concepts leading to struggle for students in the long run.
The lack of interest in conducting fests on a large scale on part of the management and curtailing of several activities.
Lack of coordination between management members in communication of information.

Placement Experience:

Students in their 5th semester and onwards become eligible for campus placements. They should also have no standing backlogs and atleast 6.5 CGPA in aggregate. So far over 8 companies have visited and made an average of about 40 offers each. After getting my degree I plan to go for an MBA.

Best college ever

Likes

It’s a very friendly environment .. love the college campus
Seniors are very friendly and approachable
Love to be a part of sjcc and its placement cell

Dislikes

The washroom facility and the canteen of the college
Basket ball court needs to painted regularly
Love the curriculum of the college as it is very crisp and clear

The placement of st Joseph's college of commerce is absolutely amazing . The offer a good opportunity for the students to get placed and they also make sure that each student gets equal chance of sitting for placement

SJCC- the best choice of my life.

Likes

Faculty is just beautiful and amazing. They are so comforting and welcoming and they make the environment safe
The college functions very systematically without confusions and has good record
They support extra curricular on a great extent compared to other uni’s and make it easy for us to balance everything together

Dislikes

Campus is small compared to other colleges

College campus placements are decent. I wouldnt say great because a lot of companies keep changing We have the big fours come in Their offers a re basic and range from 3LPA to about 6.5LPA or sometimes 7 being the maximum. The process is smooth but orientation on it can be made better

My experience in SJCC

Likes

The environment, very friendly student council.
Fearing opportunities- a lot of fests are organised and we can participate in other colleges fest as well
Freedom to choose in the extra curricular activities

Dislikes

Some people in the college are not well behaved
A few teachers are too strict and do not listen to our needs
Small campus we have only one ground and one basketball court both small size

Placements are good. There are a lot of companies coming in on a daily basis at the end of the sem for the 3rd years, 2nd and 3rd years are eligible for campus placement, 3rd year is given more importance. Tcs, Accenture, Deloitte , KPMG, JPMC, PHONE-PE, Goldman Sachs's, EY are few companies.

My journey in SJCC

Likes

Lot of activities and programs like awareness are conducted
And also we could join in different associations which is fun
The facilities, faculties and infrastructure are excellent

Dislikes

The teaching method is kind of average and because it is autonomous the syllabus as a little tuff
And formal outfit is mandatory from Monday to Friday and jeans and coloured t shirts are allowed only on Saturday
Very strict and must be punctual if the classes are attended late then no attendance will be given sometimes

Placement Experience:

To be eligible for placements the student must have no backlogs and must maintain a minimum of 7.5 cgpa and also they provide internships in the second year which is mandatory, both social internship and co-operate internship must be completed in the second year and they also teach skills which are useful in future like tally and advanced Excel.
