We have 3 interview rounds and an entrance exam the eligibility is above 75% the application is found on the sjcc website if you clear the entrance it's easy to get into the college with a good percentage.
Certain faculty teach good and the concepts are taught in a effective manner.
From 5 semesters students are eligible for campus placements the top companies like jp morgan, kpmg, tata, etc.

Dislikes

Only my last year of sjcc was a little bit of struggle as the father changed and the environment of sjcc shifted from its real origin which makes Joseph what it is, which is cultural focus and not only academic excellence which in return came
I dislike things which I don't like the most
And Also I don't like the people who are not loyal to me

About Sjcc

Likes

Reputation and Legacy : It's well known for its academic rigor and excellence
Networking opportunities and strong alumni : Highly ambitious crowd
Affordable fee structure : Worth it from Bcom

Dislikes

Small Campus : The campus is very small and not many facilities
Lesser placement packages : the offers provided are less compared to other top most institutions
Can be hectic for students who are pursuing other professional degrees along with bcom due to extra compulsory classes

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements in 3rd year companies include deloitte , JP Morgan chase , Accenture and Goldman Sachs I dont see myself sitting for the placements yet as i am focused on my professional course as of now

A comprehensive review of my experience at SJCC

Likes

The clubs are very interactive and fun making extra curricular actives fun as everyone has to be part of one club minimum.
The course is adjusted to CIMA syllabus so I dont have to study separately for my CIMA exams.
College has a good placement cell that helps all the students get placed.

Placement Experience:

There is good placement from my college nearly 100% and my course certifies my placement as I am doing CIMA and BBA giving me an edge above my peers. After i get my degree i would persue my dreams in the corporate world for a while and then start my own start up.

Likes

The faculty was very welcoming, they explained all the prospects of each course once the student has graduated from the college.
The reach in terms of placements , they have multiple times with foreign institutions like the London school of Economics etc. which provides a path towards post grad programs abroad
They have a social outreach programme that aims for the welfare of the society and raises awareness about the issues that actually matter

Dislikes

The fast pace of the fests, events and other things
so many events and activities happening on one day
Last minute messages about opportunities and fests

Course Curriculum Overview:

Defined and detailed curriculum was given at the start that really enabled us to look through and decide. Personally I am really interested in Economics and Financial Accounting, so choose these courses.

I am very glad to be studying in SJCC

Likes

The location of the college is very accessible as it is located in the heart of the city. The college also has a very high rate for placements.
The cafeteria of the college is also very good as they have delicious food and there are 2 more external cafeterias within the campus
The timings of the college also is another major aspect that I liked. There are two batches held , the first batch is from 7am-11am and the second batch is held from 12pm-4pm.

Dislikes

The fact that the B.A program does not have a morning batch.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements from the 6the semester. The companies that visit for placements are Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, JP Morgan Chase, Infosys,TCS, Wipro, Dell, HP and multiple other companies. The highest package as per the college was 12 LPA and the average package is 6 LPA. The college claims to have a placement percentage of 100% My plans after getting a degree is to get a masters and to major in Forensic psychology.

GLIMPSE OF SJCC

Likes

Faculty and the environment of the collage with the beautiful view of college
Teachers and staffs are really friendly and canteen food is amazing
The activity like sports ,fest ,CERTIFICATE COURSE

Dislikes

The water provided in campus is not up to the quality
Just that campus is bit small and compact
The turf is small where accommodation becomes an issue

They take you on a lot of INDUSTRIAL VIST AND HOTEL VISTIS more over they take you to nice trip spot This course prepares you for travel and tourism market Take up additional courses in college which is available Exam are 3 and Half hour

Very supported faculties they teaching level is in nxt level and make every students to be speek confidence
College support very students in sports, culture activies, seminars, tournament
College camps and cantin and food facilities in colllege itself

Dislikes

Having 2 shifts and making students burned to attended the classes in time
If the students were late to classes for few min not allowing them to class
If the students miss the classes decreasing percentage more

Likes

The college is welcoming in nature it gives a vibrant attraction towards the college
The teachers are trained is an efficient way and we can be friendly towards them
The college has various opportunities for us to grow in different aspects

Dislikes

The dress code is very strict and leads to discomfort
The campus has minimum no of vehicles to be parked
Various events happening close by the exams

It depends upon the cource and the timings you take in for you to cope up the subjects but there are efficient ways where the teachers teach you to cope up with it if you feel you are down there needs to be a personal application of studies and teachers would help in those also

The social interactions between all the student and faculty, the faculty provide an open environment for everyone to reach for opportunities they want.
A lot of co curricular as well as academic chances to become the best version of yourself
There is always room for improvement, they do not look down on you when there is a mistake made

Dislikes

Few places are not as hygienic as it seems, but cleaning are some as much as possible
Few faculty members do not provide proper study material, so people have a hard time to grasp the concepts
There is no infirmary in the college which serves as a risk for anyone who might be injured or needs first aid

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course comprises of many interesting topics for a student to study about. They make it more interesting by changing the angle of comprehension of the subject, we deal with those in the form of debates, skits, films, videos etc. So there is no one method of teaching, we explore all the methods and gain new experiences The curriculum provides a very future based understanding and preparation. The areas where improvements is necessary would be providing materials and giving more assistance to students who do need it, because everyone cannot handle self study, some need to clear their doubts and strengthen their concepts

The SJCC story

Likes

The coordination of different shifts, as there are two shifts (morning and afternoon), the college does a great job in alloting the class for ppl properly so that there is no commotion
The students and staff, all are very friendly, u will not know that you are entering a new space, they will make u feel comfortable, the ppl of sjcc is very kind if u give respect, but vice versa
The availablity, even though the campus is small, the resources, opportunities and knowledge u will get is immense, the thing about sjcc is "don't judge a book by it's cover".

Dislikes

The campus size, as for sports, there are sports, all type of sports, but the ground size is not that big, it will be difficult for any sports activities to take place, but it's possible
The strictness, even though its required for the betterment and safety of the students, sometimes I think it is too much.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available, the college is associated with many companies and organisations and each year 50-60% students get through placements. It's not easy , u must maintain a good reputation in the college, ur stats must be decent.
