Likes

The faculty was very welcoming, they explained all the prospects of each course once the student has graduated from the college.
The reach in terms of placements , they have multiple times with foreign institutions like the London school of Economics etc. which provides a path towards post grad programs abroad
They have a social outreach programme that aims for the welfare of the society and raises awareness about the issues that actually matter

Dislikes

The fast pace of the fests, events and other things
so many events and activities happening on one day
Last minute messages about opportunities and fests

Course Curriculum Overview

Defined and detailed curriculum was given at the start that really enabled us to look through and decide. Personally I am really interested in Economics and Financial Accounting, so choose these courses.

Fees and Financial Aid

For the first year we paid around Rs.107000/- , the application fee for the tests were RS. 400/- quite affordable. They also had the return policy for admission fee , which enabled the students to keep a buffer period to decide

Campus Life

Seniors are very fun and interactive. They always reach out to help. Clubs are hectic but fun, everyone is considered an integral part of the team. Extracurricular activities are a major attraction based on involvement, team work and networking opportunities.

Admission

I applied for Christ, SJCC,NMIMS MUMBAI, NMIMS BENGALURU, Kristu Jayanti college for Bsc. Eco and Bsc./bba. In Finance respectively. I choose SJCC for the proximity, faculty and reputation. The admission process was very detailed.

Faculty

Faculty is great, very approachable and insightful. Faculty to student ratio is less but all the teachers are well equipped with all the subjects they teach. Vinay sir our math teacher, amazing he has such profound knowledge about each and every topic he takes up.

Night Life

We are in one of the biggest hubs of banglore, MG road which has numerous gyms,cafes, restraunts and the night life is probably one of the best. Proximity to all the important areas like commercials church street , chikpet are add ons

My Regret of joining St George School of Business.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Semester 4, my course included the concepts of Radioactivity which has been a fascinating topic for me, and wanting to learn that aspect pf chemistry was a reason that lead me to choose this course. the curriculum is not sufficient or up to date for current further academic pursuits. the course curriculum should include more scientific instruments commonly used in labs and the teachers could preferably be more positive with their attitude and create an atmosphere where learning is chased. where the teaching doesn't feel like they're just doing their job and finishing their hours by reading ppts off a laptop. the exams themselves are fair and well prepared. perfectly balanced to score based on how much you've learnt.

Peaceful College And Campus Life

Placement Experience:

From 6th sem students get eligible for campus placement, No of companies such as Cipla, infosys,accenture, TCS, wipro, Icici bank have visited our college, provide placements and 90% students get placed in reputed companies. My plan after finishing my Bsc ,i will opting for MSc Biotechnology, then a PhD.I will become a professor.

My journey in Christ University

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from the 5th semester. The university also conducts placement drives and skill development workshops. Out of the various companies, some of the reputed ones include Goldman Sachs, KPMG, EY, Deloitte, De Shaw, etc. The average package is around 7 to 8 lakhs but 60% students opt out from placements for further education. I plan to study a master's degree in business economics after my undergraduate studies.

Life at IISc- Pros and Cons

Placement Experience:

Most of the students after completing four years, continue to stay here to get Masters degree after one more year and pursue PhD from world renowned institutions. Very few people (<7/100) per batch will sit for campus placements and most of them will be selected with a good annual package of 30000 at an average. Some students, mostly Physocs majors can give government exams like ICRB, GATE to join ISRO and BARC as scientists
