Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course that I chose there was importance on English as much as there was on psychology. The exams held at the intervals choosen by the college is perfect as they have a clear objective of the speed at which they want the course to move.

Internships Opportunities

4

Goldman Sachs, EY global delivery services, Nalapad academy, SPRY and Accenture The eligibility for the internship lies with the attendance and the performance of the candidates the college also makes sure that every student has done an internship

Placement Experience

4

The students become eligible for placements from the 6the semester. The companies that visit for placements are Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, JP Morgan Chase, Infosys,TCS, Wipro, Dell, HP and multiple other companies. The highest package as per the college was 12 LPA and the average package is 6 LPA. The college claims to have a placement percentage of 100% My plans after getting a degree is to get a masters and to major in Forensic psychology.

Campus Life

5

The first Fest that is held in SJCC is at the beginning of the annual year is Kalotsav, theen there are a few other fests that happen every month but these fests are interested college fests. The library houses a lot of books across all genres, sduty material is also mostly accessible in the library. The college is more modernized as all the classes have smart boards and all the students bring laptops to make notes. There are a lot of clubs available in the college for students

Admission

I applied to Christ (Deemed to be university), but I chose SJCC as I had always dreamed of getting into SJCC as it had been my dream for the longest time. I did not get rejected as I had not applied to many colleges. The addmission process starts with the screening of application and once the application passes this stage there is an entrence test and once you pass the entrance test there will be a personal interview and if you get through that stage you will be confirmed for addmission.

Faculty

4

St. Joseph's College of Commerce (SJCC) in Bengaluru maintains a faculty-to-student ratio of approximately 2:5. The faculty is very approachable and friendly. Everyone in the English department is very friendly and approachable.

Interview Experience

5

The interview questions were mostly based on why I chose to enter the college, they also told me that my particular course is rigorous and requires a lot of attention and hard work. After the interview the college sends the selected candidates a link to pay the fees. I did some basic reading as my questions were solely english based.

Night Life

5

The college also has a gym facility, there are three cafeterias within the campus that provide delicious food at affordable cost. College timings for the first batch is from 7am-11am from 11am-12pm the college allotted for club activities and from 12pm-4pm is the timings for the second batch. The famous spots to hang out near SJCC are Chettas bakery, brigade road and Church Street. The locality is pretty safe to roam around at night

Course Curriculum Overview:

- curriculum specially for BA is not like how you see in other universities it's a comprehensive curriculum where your also studying subject like AI learning, data analysis, regional languages and so much more it is a comprehensive course which is not only focusing on your major but also on an overall development of you as a student.. - well we are not only getting in-class lectures but we also have a internal component of internship every year which helps us get an experience of real world situations and job market. -There is one course called numbers we have that could be improved it basically talks about mathematical in economic applications numerical implications particularly which has not been given more thought on it could be more elaborated and structured well. - frequency is high and difficulty is moderate usually.

Placement Experience:

Placements are given in our college for a lot of departments. A senior of ours got placed into Reuters with a very high placement. In the last year, that is the 4th year, you get eligible for campus placement. After I get my degree in History, I will pursue my master's in history from Christ University only or from a foreign college belonging to the Ivy league. After that, I will pursue my PhD in history and also give the Civil Services Examination.

Remarks:

One of my graduation seniors was studying Azim Premji University and had all good things to say about the college. I decided to just search it online. I found the curriculum suitable for professional career. I was asked to deposit 12th marksheet scoring 68% and also appeared for the entrance test. Based on the entrance tests, I was shortlisted for personal interview and then the final selection is made depending upon the opted course.

Remarks:

I liked the course provided by this college. The subjects are different for every semester and the aura is splendid. This college provides a very good faculty which not only is good at keeping up with academics, but also is great in keeping a good rapport with their students. There is a whole variety of extra curricular activities which brings out the core personality of every student. I for a fact, had stage fear. But after I chose MIC, I really started getting over it.
