Course Curriculum Overview

4

As I choose this course because it is associated with TCS (Tata consultancy services), and sjcc is known for placements, I thought it will be a safe option. The college starts early, but will hv enough holidays and fests and other activities to improve students morality and creativity.

Internships Opportunities

3

As for internships, as for now the college is not popular for that, but the guidance you get for internships is really worth, not only that there are many certificate courses for all three years, boosting the students knowledge and experience.

Placement Experience

5

Placements are available, the college is associated with many companies and organisations and each year 50-60% students get through placements. It's not easy , u must maintain a good reputation in the college, ur stats must be decent.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure varies according to your 12th boards; if state board, the fees is around 60k to 70k; If cbse or pu board, the fees is around 80k to 85k; If isc or other foreign board, the fees is around 1.1lakh

Campus Life

5

Apart from academics, SJCC may be small, but the fun and creativity is out of the world. It has and participates in ALL activities, sports and events, not only participating, also winning many of them because of the minds in the college is great.

Admission

I think SJCC is not just a college, but a brand as the reputation of the college is not simply given but it is what it is, the students who hv studied in SJCC has high possibilities of success. Even though it is a commerce college, it is best in it's field.

Faculty

4

The staff to students ratio is 2:5 respectively, as there are enough staff, and each class has 2 class mentors and there more than 3 teachers for every subjects. There are two exams each sem, first is mid term then end sem exam in the end of the sem and 3-4 cia tht is assignments and class tests.

Interview Experience

5

As there is interview, that is for sure. For some courses there are entrance exam like ACCA and stuff, it is not that hard or difficult, but whatever you learnt in your previous school or college. It will be properly intimated to candidates through mail.

Night Life

5

As you know, SJCC is near church street, the literal vibe place of bangalore with lots of hangout spots and all different kinds of shops. The college itself has a gym, canteen and a library. Students can assess it according to their needs. It even has parking facility for 2 wheelers but u must pay fee for it.

The placement cell in my college is okay they do get few good companies for campus recruitment and they guide us thoroughly how and when we should apply for placement they do conduct some sessions and bring people to guide us with everything. The percentage of students getting placement is 50 or 60 percentage. My plan after degree is to continue pursuing acca and then finding a job abroad

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Our college has a dedicated placement department that really guides and supports us through the whole process. Big companies like Deloitte and KPMG visit the campus every year, and since I’m doing B.Com + ACCA, there are plenty of great opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, around 8 students from the B.Com batch got placed in finance roles. The average package was about ?6 LPA. The best part is that placements keep getting better every year, and the college has maintained a 100% placement record. They’ve even tied up with foreign companies, which opens up more global opportunities for us. After completing my degree, I plan to build a strong career in finance—hopefully starting with a reputed company like Deloitte or KPMG—and later explore opportunities abroad.

Placement Experience:

The college offers placement through the COC (Career Opportunities) cell. Students become eligible for placements by the 5th Semester. The companies which come to hire include the Big 4s, (KPMG, Delloite, EY and BCG), Fedral Bank,TCS, etc. Almost 70% of students opt for higher eduaction so the less number of students get placed at the UG level at least. I am personally figuring out which path to choose but I have placement in mind at the end of the degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course is the ACCA along with Bcom. Most importantly the 9 paper exemptions provided that gives flexibility in the context of studying. The curriculum is well corporate and real world oriented. They prepare us on how to face the real corporate world through their curriculum by conducting different seminars and workshops.
